- In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2011 Ford F150 Lariat Ecoboost. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this truck while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this truck designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

This is a very nice truck. Two things weren't mentioned that are good points.
1. It has electronic powered steering now.
2. It has a TELESCOPING steering wheel. Which if you've ever driven a truck is a big must.

That´s really good truck, ford is one of the best brands of trucks, i´m from uruguay and i have an ford ranger xlt and i bought it in 1997 and i never had to change something, every parts of the engine still working and is really amazing, just have 16 years and i never had any kind of problem, of course some changes but normal like to change the oil but not important changes, is made it for have lots of years and never you will a problem, this is a good truck like mine
the truck is massive so much room inside and for the bed ford did an amazing job

I hate fan boys. I like the Toyota Tundra, Ram, Silverado/Sierra, and the F150. Why cant people understand that they are all good trucks? This Ecoboost engine is the best new engine for the gas trucks.
Actually the 5.0L coyote was a better engine than the ecoboost

Lol I live in michigan a half hour away from the dearborn f150 assembly plant where this one was made. I got to do a walkthrough and it is amazing how entertaining it is. I sat there for 20 minutes watching the guy put the badges on the tailgate. And they have a huge theater thing that basically takes you through the assembly of a f150 and it has sweet effects. The floor moves and water falls and lights flash, its awesome!

The rev limiter is set to 4,000rpm only when the vehicle is in "PARK" to keep from burning up the torque converter. If you put it into "NEUTRAL" and rev it you get the pull effect.

I believe the first Ford to get it was the Taurus SHO last year or Lincoln MKS Ecoboost. Either way it came out in late 2009.

i looked at a black 2011 Ford F-150 Lariat Ecoboost they're pretty nice. one of my friends has a 2010 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4 CrewCab with the 5.4L V8 and i really love it.

Great truck. It is weird however not hearing a nice rumbling V8 at the start but if this engine can get the job done that's what matters.

Note: Ecoboost is not a trim package, it´s the engine itself which is this TT V6. And it is available in almost every trim (XL, XLT, FX2, FX4, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum). There is also another V6, a base 3.7 liter with 302hp standard in XL, STX and XLT models.

these engines are incredible in this truck hands down best truck ever... kyle have you ever seen fords torture test vids on one of these engines? if you havent check it out its insane what this motor can endure

@saabkyle04 It sounds like it would be more fuel efficient to just go with a V8 than a twin turbo V6 with the same power or is it about the same?
This is fitted out like a luxury car.

i have this truck, except a 2010, and mine is blue/beige instead of the red/beige, and I have beige leather interior, and mine also isn't a long box, and has different wheels.

Kyle...do a FX4 eco boost in smoke color and rims. Tested that out the other day.

@TheJoacosta yeah! its like a mini version of the f150! ford has great towing power, the best in the business! amazing story of ur truck too! um the expedition is not THAT great for towing, but complete maxxed out towing lbs is about 10,000 lbs we took it to the limit where the bumper was bent lol. but its rly not made for towing more for hauling, offroading but it can tow too! I love v8 engines and the Triton v8 in mine has a GREAT sound starting at 2500 rpm! its just and amazing suv!

I dont like wood grain that often.
But that ford has that light wood grain is my fave kind :)

@jman66053 thanks man, other thing that i really like it of my truck, is the engine sound, that you see is powerful with his 6 cylindres and the other, has a system that if you reach the 160 km/h it turn of the engine, that´s perfect because you can´t go to fast and the other thing is if you overturn your truck, immediately stop work the gasoline to the engine to prevent an explosion. the bad thing that i had, was the original alarm cause stole the key and i had to remake another and alarm too

@mike12954 Granted, a crew cab version of this truck is a bit big to learn to drive in, but a regular cab version, like my dad's '09 F-150, is just perfect.

GREAT suv! its REALLY reliable ( of course with all of fords trucks ) Never had a problem with it, and i still dont! i love that truck im 13 and i think the expo is 12 or 13! great engine it has, the Triton v8 325 hp @ 5500 rpm! i counted in my expo 0-100 time is about 23-25 seconds! it goes above 100 too with out even using overdrive! I hope ur ranger continues to last ( not that u gotta worry cuz its ford lol) u got a great truck!

Right now I have a 2005 Ford F-150 SXT. It's a very nice truck and I put my Dual Exhausts and FlowMasters on there. I would easily take 2010 to 2015 F-150 any day over mine though because I've always wanted one. Right now I'm trying to save up for one but for the time being my 2005 is just perfect. I am a ford guy and love it.

That was an old picture Albert haha. I am now 17 and no longer have the F150. I now have a 2003 Ford Ranger. And Daytona, that's awesome! Hope I get one some day.

I did rent one of these in the same color but XLT (no SYNC, bench seats in the front and rear, single-disc CD, no security system, cloth seats, etc) but it also had a gray interior and no two-tone paint. also no Sony stereo (6 speakers only), no productivity screen (only a small monochromic display) and the 5.0 V8.
Looks quite stylish but I miss the overhead console with compass and temperature.
@mike12954 im also a new driver, my dad made me learn in his 2004 dodge grand caravan and now we have a 2011 f150 like this and i can say that once you get used to it its perfect, my mom has a little toyota corolla and its feels very small to drive now

they should bring the 300 straight 6 back, those got all of there torque around 1500 rpms, great for towing and they lasted forever!! i have one
So if it's max torque at 2500rpm the turbos come on. I wonder if fuel economy is going to be under 13, cause my wrx 2.5 h4 turbo gets as low as 10.9 mpg. And I drive all under 3500rpm. But this truck has the best mpgs of pickups.
