Honestly I strive to this level of music and video production. I’m a 1 man army that does everything for my church but hey. It’s cool to see someone down to earth making content of what we have in common. Keep posting vlogs man it’s awesome.
I love this, man. Idk if this applies to you, but I feel like God is wanting me to say this. (also read Philippians 3 in its entirety). I have been the one man army before and it can be really easy to get overwhelmed or feel under appreciated. Most of us production guys start as servants jumping into a role because there was a need and our responsibilities and influence grow without much spiritual preparation (this may be different for you, but it was certainly my experience). I think it's important to remember that we can't be motivated by the affirmation of our leadership or even the congregation. Ultimately. we serve the lord and all He cares about is faithfulness and obedience. Excellence and nice gear is all fun, but is it serving God or is it serving man? Am I ministering to the Lord or am I trying to impress people and convince them to stay in church because we are "cool"? I personally believe there is only one correct answer here. My prayer for you and all my fellow production techs is that we understand the unique position we are in to influence our church's worship culture, and that we are constantly turning the eyes of our church to the Father. There is no need to strive for greater things; simply go and do what God is speaking to you. Seek Him out. In Philippians 3, Paul is making the point that he followed all the jewish traditions and laws which is THE REASON he persecuted the messianic believers. It wasn't until his encounter with the Holy Spirit when he realized he was wrong. from verse 7 : "Yet all of the accomplishments that I once took credit for, I’ve now forsaken them and I regard it all as nothing compared to the delight of experiencing Jesus Christ as my Lord! 8 . It’s all like a pile of manure to me now, so that and embrace him as Lord in all of his greatness." I wonder how many of us are striving for greatness under the "old law" instead of "letting go of everything". If I woke up deaf tomorrow, is my life's purpose somehow altered? Not in the slightest. My only call is to let go of everything I know and seek Him. Love you brother! I pray that God blesses you, your family, and your ministry!
@@MattDoesAudio Honestly you have no idea how this helps me. I'll start reading Philippians 3 in its entirety later today. Aside from that. keep up the great work and your appreciated by many for all that you do. God bless!
Have you thought about getting a tune bot for the drums? I’ve been a drummer for years and years but the tune bot has just been an absolute game changer
We do for Sunday services but we didn’t for this event. Broadcasting has been a bit of an afterthought for us recently but we are going to be investing pretty heavily in the coming year. Right now we’ve got 3 shots (imag, and 2 stage roamers) but we are asking a lot more out of those cams then they were ever designed for lol
Not usually. I handle the bigger events, but I usually only serve at this campus once a month. We have an awesome volunteer team that handles the weekly events!
I’m sure this was one of the situations where the live mix sounded great in the room and the cue mix doesn’t tell the whole story. Gratitude sounded pretty dissonant but I know that’s mix of factors.
I typically use Shure frequency finder since I don’t have to do it too often. There’s some cool tools like rf explorer that will give you a more detailed and specific picture of what’s going on if you need it though!
