    If you like riffs I highly recommend ERRA’s self titled and/or Augment album. Literally some of the best riffs ever created and 2 of the best progressive metalcore records ever

    Hi Daniel! Decided to save this one to watch once I would have enough time. So here I finally am :D
    First of all, let me tell you that Greyview is indeed goated! My personal experience with it, I have listened to it a fucking million times. Cloud Cascade has the best riff of all time. So yeah, as much as I love Heavener, Greyview is just on another level when it comes to riffs. They had been on a 3-4 year hiatus before they dropped that album, after all. I feel like the boys were cultivating so many outstanding ideas because they knew they had what it took to blow up. By the way, there is a 20-30 minute long documentary dedicated to this album, how it was being created. It's called "greyview in retrospect". You may want to check it out to get a better idea of their musicianship. It is insane the boys were insecure with this masterpiece as their comeback album
    It is so cool that you appreciated their lyrics as much as you did. As I mentioned in a conversation with you in the past, their drummer Trey is such a talented dude. I believe writing was influenced by his ideas the most (lyrics included). But of course, the other guys also contributed the best of what they came up with. Because they are truly a band, everyone is an important piece:D
    Another interesting fact is that you liked the mix. I have seen enough people complaining that it is too much guitar focused, which is ridiculous to say in the context of Invent Animate. But I guess a reason for that is they were still figuring out how to use Marcus' voice back then. So there wasn't vocal diversity as much but the instrumentals... Are they fucking perfect:)
    P.S. Greyview tier list, for sure:D But it is not urgent at all. I feel like I would appreciate an opinion on this album from you after a couple weeks or something. You definitely need more listens with this masterpiece (or maybe, it is not even for a video but a personal chat in discord. I saw you wanted to create one. And I would be interested in it :))
    P.S.S. Fireside is really gorgeous! They played an acoustic version of it for VIPs during their headline tour. Oh man, I wish they headlined Europe with Heavener. It would be honestly a dream come true. If an VIP option existed in the EU headliner, it would be no brainer for me lol
    P.S.S.S. The reason why some of these songs sound similar/could be as an opener (like you mentioned) is because they intentionally tried to develop a couple ideas throughout different songs
    P.S.S.S.S Nova is the perfect closer! Heavener feels a bit awkward once it reaches Elysium because Emberglow seems like a much better option to close one of the best albums of all time. And Elysium was a single, which did take away a bit from surprise
    P.S x 5 35:10 aww, my man! With my choices, I was actually taking into consideration my personal experience. BUT I have also gotten to know what type of sound you are into to take closer guesses

      I might have to check out that video then, I have seen it pop up a couple of times
      Sounds like Trey has been an essential piece to the band, and holy shit how can he be so talented??? As someone who is a big part of writing songs for my band i cannot fathom how anyone manages to do as much as him and as good as him 🥴
      The album is such an instrumentally focused mix and I think it would be stupid to complain about that. These guys are one of the talented dudes musically and it should be one of their main selling points haha
      Yeah tier list and all is fun but imma wait a good chunk of time before i do it, making this video was so heavy and time consuming that im taking a little break until a band i really like drops a song
      EU heavener headliner would be perfect 😭😭😭 but they probably wouldn't Come to Norway which is horrible lmao
      Also about the closing song thing! I remember when I listened to heavener and Said "this feels like a closing song" for like the three last songs so what you're saying makes full sense
      Getting to know everyone is the best of this channel, and that makes it great to ask for suggestions because noe people actually know what I'm going to enjoy hahaha

    Everchanger is an amazing album, they really showed off where they were gonna take atmosphere with that debut.
    You’d be missing out if you haven’t heard everchanger and stillworld

      Yes! In the video i mentioned something about listening to their first EP, but I actually meant album. I listened to everchanger yesterday on my own again (and i used to listen to them in 2016 actually so i have heard them before) and yes going back in their discography i can agree that it showed that they we're going to be kings of atmosphere and thall one day

    Good we bullied you into this :D Glad you like it!
    this album will always have a very very special feeling for me cause of the consistency it gave me during the corona times, also it was the long awaited follow up to stillworld. So it's kinda hard for me to compare it to heavener in a sense. Between these two albums were 4 years of more or less silence (also because they had to search for a new singer back then) and they also said they considered breaking up during that time if i remember correctly. And since Greyview came out they've released constant crazyness, so Greyview also marks some kind of new beginning for the band imo, obviously also because of marcus.
    BUT
    You need to listen to Stillworld at some point haha
    It's also kinda underrepresented in the reaction-channel realm imo, so there is an USP aspect maybe :D
    (not underrepresented for a good reason though besides it being not new, it's a wild album. Same as with The Amanuensis by Monuments, easily their best record imo and nobody seems to have reacted to it properly)

    • @Denialboii
      @Denialboii  Před 5 měsíci +2

      Some bullying is good lmaoooo
      I was actually thinking about when this album released and how we as people through a pandemic truly held on to some albums for dear life because it helped us get through it. Loathe did that for me, and honestly if I hadn't heard ILLIATE this would have been the album for me so I can understand how this album hits different for you
      I actually saw metalbirb post that stillworld was on his patreon and I was like shiiit thats such a good idea and I would do the same probably because full album reactions are very time consuming. At the same time I'd love to kind of do one to stillworld but I'll be SUCH A HYPOCRITE if I say that I'm done with their earlier stuff hahaha. At some point tho I'll get to it!

      @@Denialboii haha yeah well, it's up to you of course. I would understand though if you would want to listen to it without having to record a reaction all the time. If you want to do a reaction though I personally don't think that you HAVE to do a one take actually. You could also react to single songs. But tbh eventually all the IA fans here (me including obviously) will probably want you to react to every invent song existing so yeah there you go 😅

    I'm really happy about your reaction to hollow light, it's my absolute favorite along with eden, I binged all of your invent animate vids so far and I have loved all of them, keep it up man! this album is my favorite even though heavener is objectively better, Greyview is way more technical and had a lot bigger variety of sounds throughout it, you should check out their first two albums, they're even more classic northlane, their with a different vocalist as well, but their atmosphere and lyrics have always been great!

      @@Denialboii I don't think they have a single bad song, they've always delivered riffs, atmosphere, and relatable lyrics, their last two albums are something special though and I am glad you've experienced it, definitely keep up the videos though you have a really likeable personality :)

  • @Grimero._0
    @Grimero._0 Před 5 měsíci

    i go between this album and heavener more then any other albums, every song is so uniquely structured and is layered perfectly. the production is beautifullll. Secret Sun has some of my favorite ambience sounds which paired greatly with those heavy breakdowns. it’s almost like a visual other worldly experience like i’m floating in clouds or in the stars. and it’s like imagining two stars colliding and creating an explosion in space. thall music for the win! plus the emotional connection with Marcus’s lyrics, some of the best songwriting in the metalcore scene.

    Fire reaction Bro 🔥🙌🏼 I‘m glad you like Greyview it‘s my favorite Album of all time. It really is the riffier Album Compared to Heavener but Heavener kinda makes up for it by the chorus and Breackdowns and Void Surfacing is the sickest Riff I‘ve ever heared, like wtf how do you write that. And the drumming is insane Never dissapoints in evry Album so far Trey is a Legend🙌🏼
