    At 0:15, what is the secret of the clean bite? What stops the chocolate from shattering into pieces?

    If you want to start a chocolate covered strawberries business. How long should you practice making them? How long should they dry? How do you get them to not sweat?

      Hi Lailah! Practice time varies for everyone, and depends on the individual and their starting skill level. I would say you can start, as soon as you feel comfortable with the quality of the product you’d like to deliver to your customers. As time goes by and you get more practice, your skills will enhance through experience.
      After dipping a strawberry, it takes about 5 minutes to completely dry. You should notice by the color change. It will no longer look shiny or wet.
      I keep my strawberries from sweating instantly by keeping them in a cool, dry place (usually my counter top) after dipping. I also make sure they are completely dry after washing them. If a customer wants them cold, I have them refrigerate them at least 20 minutes before consuming. The temperature change going in and out of the fridge causes them to sweat, so I rarely refrigerate them unless they are for me to eat. I make my orders the day of pick-up. Usually 2-3hrs before hand depending on the size and details of the order. I box them and put them on cupcake liners until a few minutes before they are about to leave my door. This keeps my orders looking fresh & neat. Strawberries covered in chocolate will eventually sweat or leak. This is unavoidable, but the steps I mentioned above will prolong their best shape.
      Hope this helps! Good luck on your journey. I am confident you will succeed. P.S. confidence is key 😉.

    hi!! when putting them in the box for the customers, how do you keep them in place, like how do you keep them from moving around?

    • @TheJanaWay

      Hello! I place each strawberry in a cupcake liner, and I make sure my box is the right fit. Your box size shouldn’t be much bigger than the area needed for your strawberries, so there’s not much wiggle room. This prevents them from moving around.

    Do it have to be a plastic bowl to heat the chocolate up in ?

    • @TheJanaWay
      @TheJanaWay  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi, Ari. You can use glass or heat resistant silicone products (microwave safe). Doesn’t have to be a bowl. You can use a cup as well. Hope this answers your question 🙂

      Try something like silicone or non stick so it’s just easy to peel. You can also do a large ziplock bag
