- My Chameleon gecko (Eurydactylodes agricolae) got an enclosure upgrade. It's a biocative, live planted setup.
Plants i used: Anthurium andreanum, Maranta leuconeura, Monstera hybrid.
Size of the enclosure is 40x50x30cm

excellent video, eurydactylodes are among My favorite Gecko, Mine likes to climb all over His Vivarium.
Yay!! You're back!!
Derpy little guy 😅
I just got a juvenile. Its so small I'm afraid to touch it haha
omg he's so goofy
can u pls upload
I have a question: what isopods do you use and also do the geckos eat the isopods? I’m scared my future gecko could go nom nom on them all
I only used springtails and they don't get eaten, they're too small. If you add enough isopods they should survive :)
@@3012ftp also is mixing isopods types a good idea? I’ll tell you 2 factors
1. I am only having one chameleon gecko
2. It’s going to be a little big
@@rhyswerner1748 no idea i'm sorry. I don't keep isopods
@@3012ftp that’s fine I’ll find the answer
Is the thing between your 2 substrates layer necessary?
it prevents the substrate to submerge in the drainage layer so yes^^
Do you recomend a substrate mix for an arid bioactive terrarium?
(I'm trying to do one for my leo so I can do a mini dry grassland vivarium with some dry grass, and some wild local plants.)
Leopardgeckotalk recommends arcadia earth mix arid for leopard geckos. Never used it myself though. For my geckos i use a solid sand/clay mix but no plant would survive in this😅 i think i might change the substrate to something earthy in the future.
@@3012ftp What about JoshFrog's BioBedding DESSERT bioactive substrate?
@@webodeescorpion7037 i don't know this one sorry. But it would be cool to finally have a desert substrate that can be bioactive
Another beautiful setup! I’m in the process of getting things to make my own , do you have any care advice for a first time owner? I have always had reptiles just not this species.
Cool i'm excited for you :) mine was pretty shy in the beginning but after some time she realised i am the one giving her the food. So i can feed her the insects with tweezers now. I don't handle her so i can't say anything about that. She's visible often sleeping on a branch during the day. Just a cool species👌
From what I've seen they're pretty dang personable. They take to handling well. I'd love to have a pair one day. They're gorgeous.
