    I have a 2011 and changed the radio head unit and somehow ended up with a blown radio fuse, but your video lead me to the other blown fuses under the dash. I only had the U0129 code no history codes and changing the ecu IG and the ecu acc fuse and cleared my codes now its all working fine. Your video saved my day...😁

    Hi, I have 2004 prius, my abs pump wasn't work properly. I bought a used abs pump and then i started to stripting disconnected the battery and disconnected the hybrid security plug, I saw the current abs pump, but there was a broken cable in white color and I connected. I reconnected the battery and the hybrid security plug. The Abs pump is working, but the car doesn't start. Cluster shows aircon not working, and multiple lights are on. Power is coming, but the engine is not starting. You may give an idea. Thanks for your videos

      If you checked all fuses then I’m really not sure. Does it do it with both the new and old ABS pump?

    I have the same problem but unfortunately I don’t have any wires up there! But I have the same exact problem!!!! Also I have NO blown fuses. So I’m just at a loss. Also trying to explain this problem for any mechanic or any Prius dealer has just got me into a rabbit hole of possible problems if you could help me narrow it down without the wire problem and without any blown fuses please help me I beg you! I don’t have money and I can’t get my kids to school. Also why kind of scanner are you using? Mine doesn’t give me that much information like yours.

      You have also checked the fuses in the small panel under the steering column? It's important to check them with a voltmeter or a test light rather than a visual inspection, as even a bad fuse can appear "good."
      The last suspect that comes to mind is a failed module, either power steering or possibly an ABS control module, but that would be significantly less likely.
      I understand your frustration in trying to explain it, the true problem creates a swath of "false" problems and leads to a lot of hesitancy by anyone that isn't familiar with these cars! It might be trial and error to try and find someone familiar that could quickly and cheaply pinpoint the problem.
      The software I used is Techstream, a dealer level Toyota/Scion/Lexus diagnostic interface.

    How did you get techstream on that Thinkpad?

      @ricarola It was a long time ago so I can’t remember exactly, but I believe it was an older version that only went up to about 2014.

      If that’s the only code, it’s isolated to the brake system control module. I would suspect CAN wiring, power/ground, or module failure.

      Check the fuses under the dash for all the ecu's

      Now I’m not certain because wipers were one thing I didn’t test, but is it possible that you have a failing wiper motor, overloading the circuit and blowing the fuse? I think it would be on a dedicated fuse, but you never know, it might be worth checking.

    • @asedeyhot123
      @asedeyhot123 Před 2 lety

      @@fixaday it's got to be the wiper cos it was misaligned after a repair work and getting to the edge of the windscreen before returning ..... could have been drawing too much current at that point.....
      Thanks you're a life and pocket saver
