- There is no better time to stock up on cicadas for fishing bait than now. Fished alive on top water or sunken or under a float..they all produce good results.

I love cicadas I fall asleep to the sound of cicadas I don't have a problem with cicadas. I love the little creatures.

Been listening to them around my house and they sound very much like F-16 fighter aircraft running on the flight line
Sit down and lean back against a pine tree..be quiet and still for about 5 minutes..you’ll can almost “feel” the vibrations

I agree man. Went catfishing yesterday 30 miles from my house for almost 8 hours..never heard or saw a SINGLE CICADA! Crazy how they can be so localized

Wehad these about 10 years ago. I saw many of them while fishing but never saw fish eating them.
Fish love them..bream,bass and catfish. I use them alive for topwater bass.
Im already ahead of ya. Lol. I got two 1 gallon containers of them in the freezer for fishing later in the year.
Good deal man! Just a tip..put them in quart bags. Once they thaw I don’t like to refreeze so I use quart bags.Less waste to me. Tight lines!
