  • ShapeMaster is a VCV Rack module developed by MindMeld Modular. In this series of tutorials I will cover different ways you can use it in your own patches, as well as explain every single function of this fascinating plugin.

And here is the video I mentioned - the Aliasing Trick:

The performance in the first half was epic, loved it!!

I love the real-time performance with a recognizable "round" - going from recognizable to a controlled chaos, but never losing the "round", although I was kind of expecting it to resolve to a final base chord (just me - always seeking resolve). I've been reluctant to download any more modules into my library, but I think this video convinced me to add the ShapeMaster.

You performed magic, and then explained how... you are the Penn and Teller of VCV Rack! :)

You certainly come up with some incredible ideas in maximizing the use of modules towards many design concepts. Thus, I was wondering if you can take some time in one of your videos to describe your process for such, and/or any learnings or recommendations you might have for us in order to become more proficient on the use of the modules (from concept, to selection, to implementation and tweaks). You have an outstanding background, thus, these things appear to come very natural to you. Yet, not necessarily to the rest of us. Thus, my idea. Of course I am a newbie, yet, have been able to follow you very well per your great teaching skills. Again, thank you!

I have always goosebumps watching your work! Thank you for sharing your passion and beautiful ideas with us. I can't find ( in Rack 2) the expandable polyphonic scope. Can you suggest a direction to find something similar?

Great Tutorial series and I'm seriously considering getting the ShapeMaster Pro module. I have Cakewalk and was wondering with the ShapeMaster Module and the free VCV rack can I use it as a VST and how straight forward is that.I know one used to have to use a bridge to run it in a DAW. Is that still the case?

anyone who compares modules to grenade lanchers is a little or more insane but a little crazy is what makes someone brilliant

nice intro, ever thought about doing something with music, when you're grown up?
    just joking!
i learnt shapemaster watching your video and was happy to understand most of it. i also got some rhythmical sounds and sequences out of it, but mostly not quite as impressive, as i hoped them to be.
and then, just like that you, turn "frere jaqcue" into a bach-like fuge and end up at pink floyd, like this was nothing! i didn't even think you could get complex compositions like this out of a modular system at all. you are certainly playing in your own league!

Hello, thanks for the tutorial, let me ask you one question, what are these yellow stickers with inscriptions? Where do they come from?

This looks like a possible 248 MARF solution! Is it possible to ratchet the notes?
