    About: Richard Bacon is ably assisted by England legend David Seaman as he takes a hilarious look back at the 50 greatest shocks from the most explosive World Cup of all time - South Africa 2010.
    The programme relives the most controversial moments of the summer - from Rob Green's horrific blunder against the USA to the French team going on strike; from Uruguay cheating Ghana out of a place in the semi-final to Frank Lampard's infamous 'goal that never was'.
    But the show isn't just about the shocks that stole the headlines. There are also the brilliant moments that may have slipped under the radar - Fabio Capello daring to bully Stuart Pearce, Emmanuel Eboue attempting to speak Korean and the magical madness of Diego Maradona. We hear from the man who invaded England's dressing room after the Algeria game and find about the referee who found his own mistake funny.
    It includes expert opinion from comedians, players, pundits and journalists such as Jack Whitehall, Dave Renton Skinner, David Schneider, Tom Deecon, Mark Lawrenson and Chris Kamara.
    Fast paced, funny and packed with bizarre stories, it is the definitive look back at all that was good and very, very bad at the 2010 World Cup.

      kriszgames Funny that you mention England. What was the score when England faced Germany? What was the score when Argentina faced Germany? So England actually performed better, didn't they? (I'm not British) Argentina should've won the whole damn thing, the quarterfinals was the bare minimum. Maradona was a stupid choice for a manager in the first place because he's never been a successful manager or had any understanding of tactics. If England had players of the quality of Cambiasso, Riquelme, and Zanetti, their manager wouldn't be stupid enough to leave them at home and handicap the squad. Making the quarterfinals with the type of players that were available to Maradona is not an achievement or any kind of feat worthy of a feather in one's cap as you seem to be implying here.

    • @echarts3710
      @echarts3710 Před 6 lety +2

      In Last 16, England got eliminated against Germany, while Argentina eliminated Mexico. What would Argentina do if they faced against Germany? Oh wait, they faced against each other in the next round and Argentina lost by 4-0. But hey, they did one round better, right?!

      How well did the Argies do against Germany when compared to the Anglos again hmm?
      England 1 - 4 Germany
      (there was also a disallowed goal from Lampard just before half-time that had the slight potential to change the outcome)
      Germany 4 - 0 Argentina

      English or from another country in the isles right as you know to be 'British' you would have to be Welsh, Irish, Scottish and English at the same time right? You also know that it's phyiscally impossible, ridiculous and ridiculous to suggest that 'British' even exists as an entity when it comes to a county or people. Never seen a 'Britain' team at the World Cup...hmmm maybe because no one wants it.....because I'm Scottish and from Scotland, my country. Just Scottish like Maradona is Argentinian. By god, Union butchers aprons look ridiculous when paraded at world cups, what is that even about? Anyways, that aside, he is a legend though, that is true. Why is there no Soviet Union as a 'country (not a country) or a team anymore? Because not everyone is from Russia and people want Independence and actually have their own countries like Ukraine, Belarus and Georgia does for example, so the same exists for the ridiculous UK. They didn't want to be controlled from outside by another country like Russia did so they ain't soviets, just as much as we don't like being controlled by London and England and are not British. You are not 'British' mate, NO such thing! Sorry could not let that nonsense you said go and I will continue to call it out one person at a time. Sorry not sorry.

    • @caveman385
      @caveman385 Před rokem

      The fact that you said this is also insulting, we in Scotland loved Maradona and the Hand of God never happened to us, so to say your 'British' and love him as if it's supposed to be surprising and a thing of note is a joke, it's the English that hated Maradona and 'British' is not a nationality, so the whole 'British' thing is garbage and thats why people need to start taking note it's actually offensive.

    Butthurt English pundits trying to find the flaws of other national team when their 2010 (and current) squad is a whole joke. Argentina got 2 world cups, 3 runner ups and 5 final appearances while England has 1 world cup, 0 runner ups and 1 final appearance. The only teams in Europe that can be considered successful are Germany and Italy.
