Cheers for watching David . Yeah it’s always a bit weird going back to somewhere where you used to stay . Somewhere that was once so familiar just becomes a distant memory . 👍
I used to cat sit for a friend in his house in Joppa directly across the road from Joppa Rocks when it was something to do with the Water Works . 2 or 3 weeks every year, loved sitting on a bench with the sound of the water lapping on the shore. A gem in the most beautiful city in the UK.🥰
I often wonder what happened to the outdoor pools as i think Dundee, Arbroath, Carnoustie and Aberdeen all had one but none have survived. Was this due to Health and Safety bs even although nobody drowned. Personally i think that all the Pools are all now Council Ran and with an outdoor area could not charge people and the real reason why they closed. No rust back then or too much Chlorine etc or other costs running them. The same thing appeared to happen with Ice rinks, Claypotts had a huge one for years as well as the amount of people who skated on the Swannie Ponds, now warnings go out soon as they freeze. I don't get how the Archer Statue has no Bow or Arrow, makes it look unfinished. The big shell like thing, think about where you were Bud, clearly a Mussel.
