    I need a job like this because I am bullied for being a slow learner and having special needs.

      I have autism as well and I take pride in the puzzle piece. I’m an Amazon driver (Carle Place NY, Long Island) and I wear a blue puzzle piece on my reflective vest. Despite having autism, I was able to learn how to drive a car and now I’m delivering packages for Amazon. I drive the Ford Transit van every day.

  • @kobyschechter8163
    @kobyschechter8163 Před měsícem

    I’m on the autism spectrum myself. My very first paid job was a seasonal gig with Home Depot (Valley Stream NY). I then worked for Stop and Shop for close to two years which is a big grocery chain in the northeast part of the country with more than 400 stores across NY, NJ, CT, RI, MA and is headquartered in Quincy MA. I’m an Amazon DSP driver now (Carle Place NY) and I really like it because I don’t like dealing with annoying people and being forced to listen to annoying music all day long. When I’m delivering my packages, I can work my way and as long as I deliver in a timely manner, nobody bothers me.

    I found out that my employer plays tricks to convince me that I can't communicate, be social, organize and plan, and "proves" that by means of gaslighting and cherry picking. When I ask my boss for possibilities to advance, she said, that isn't possible. If I would advance, my employer will get less money for the government (Social Affairs), and then I would be fired.
    My boss diagnosed me with a learning disability, although I learned Esperanto, Russian and Japanese as a hobby. I don't even write this message in my native tongue (English instead of Dutch). Recently I completed a course of Executive Secretary.
    I don't have a job coach. My boss doesn't want to have appraisal talks with so, that I can adjust my behaviour. He is only interested in my autism diagnoses and the "diagnoses" he made up himself. Sooner or later I want him to end up in jail, because of his vile behaviour.

      You're English is impeccable! I had no idea you're not a native Englisher, until you said otherwise. We are wired different, and not stupid - quite the contrary if our needs are met. I'm glad you recognize your boss' ableist behavior, and hopefully you can do something about it. Wishing you the best of luck!

You shouldn’t assume autistic people are slow not to be rude or anything but you kind of sound slow right now ps don’t waste your time writing idiotic comments without knowing what your talking about.

      You Curtis are a prime example of the intolerance that is being promoted by our current so called president. He openly mocked a disabled reporter during his campaign. My hope is you have not fathered any children that you can teach this same type of behavior. You are a sorry excuse for a human being! 😔
