In this video, I offer a few tips and demonstrate how to take a pregnancy test at home. I show a side-by-side comparison of a positive pregnancy test result vs a negative pregnancy test result. I also show a time lapse of the pregnancy test progress, and I explain the control vs test lines as well.
For the demonstration, I used a pregnancy test called "Assured," which I bought at the Dollar Tree. (Yes, those Dollar Tree pregnancy tests actually work, and they accurately tested positive for both of my pregnancies!)
Pregnancy tests like the one I used in this video detect a hormone called hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin). This hormone is released after the placenta attaches to the uterine wall.
It is best to take a pregnancy test in the morning, as that is when hCG leves are supposed to be most concentrated.

I have PCOS and I remember how l felt when the doctor toid me it would be hard for me to conceive I now have 4 children very successful pregnancies God blessed me with use of herbs!
What if I try to use other type, like the one you have to dip into the urine will it not give me an accurate result?

I was just about to take the test, but thought I would watch a video of some sort to help me understand what to expect, as this would be my first.
And I want to say thank you so much for making this video! I am so grateful and blessed to be learning something new from this video.
I always wonder what C and T stands for as it doesn't represent negative nor positive. Now I know!
I do have 2 questions:
Question 1:
When you pee in the cup in the morning, do you pee straight in the cup, or let some go in the beginning then collect the pee in between the process?
I know this question may sound strange. It’s just that I recall when doing urine test in the clinic, I was told to wait a little before I pee into the cup, and collect the pee in-between, meaning not collecting it from the start. And I never really understood the reason why.
Question 2:
How many days late would you say you would recommend to do the pregnancy test?
I ask this because I bought the test to do last month, but just when I got home that night, my period came, and I was so very sad. I recalled I was about 3-5 days late that time.
And now that I am on my 3rd day of being late, the anxiety is building, as I don’t want the same result as last time… (it’s like I want to take the test, but I also don’t want to experience a negative result again) really praying that I am pregnant, because we really want a child and been trying so hard to get pregnant.
I guess I will do the test either tomorrow morning or some morning during this weekend.

Is it a must I use the early morning urine
Took two test and one said negative and the other was positive but one line was faded.
It would have been highly surprising if the pregnancy test result of the husband turned positive. Had it happened, it could have sent me rolling with laughter as of event time.
If the husband's came in positive then it's a sign of prostate cancer, and it shouldn't be taken as something to laugh upon. Should get that checked immediately.

Thanks for sharing this video. I helped my girlfriend to do the test. it was negative but she still haven't got her period after 30+13 days so we do the test in the morning because we did it on the night and maybe it was false result. I bought like four testers just in case because one is not enough. this american test seems better than European test. in my opinion.

Hi. I have question, and I hoe this will be answered. It was provided in the pt kit to just put 3 drops, however, I was panicking that time, I have put more than 3 drops. I think I made 6 drops. Does it affect the result?

Hello. I have a question if u don't mind my asking. So I've had 2 positive blood hcg pregnancy tests from the doctor and my obgyn appointment isn't for a few more weeks I've tried home pregnancy tests as well and it's faint lines on all 4 I've taken does this mean I'm pregnant?
The two lines have to bright on the pregnancy test?
I did a test but in 5miutes window around 3mintues a slight line was visible then on the second line T then after 5 minutes it fades & was clear and the only has line is C so what that’s mean?

I'm one week by I get signs of pregnant bt test back to me negative so what can I do
I did three tests already 7 days before expected day of my period and all came out positive result, and the lines are as clear as that on this video. However when I visited my doctor my TransV Ultrasound result says nothing's there. There's still no baby. How is that possible? It so weird.
