  • Raw video of our Argo run with a group of Argos and one MuddOx on the Boulder Creek trails, Alaska. A lot of packed trail and a lot of loose deep snow.

Awesome, I had an Argo way back and they are still the best Vehicle ever made., Great Video, thanks for posting it.

Beautiful scenery! And that's a lot of Argos! LOL. The rubber tracks are the way to go! I know that now 😄 Best wishes Michael

Absolutely beautiful scenery but nothing challenging for the Argos. Could have almost driven a AWD SUV there. (Almost)

Thank you for watching and for the comment Rumbleseat1. However, there were some very challenging portions. Because we were all in Argos (1 MuddOx); as it sounds like you know; we all float really nice on top of the snow. The compacted trail sections we were on are groomed snow machine trails (off trails the snow was 4+feet deep. To say it bluntly: There was no wheeled vehicle going in there not even "Almost".
What the video doesn't show: (1) the one time on the way in where we spent about an hour and half fighting, placing a land anchor and winching to get one Argo up a short hill (about 60 yards) through a very deep wind drift. Once that Argo was up, it was a simple matter of using it as an anchor to bring the rest up one at a time. (2) one of the rest stops we had where two people stepped off the trail beside an Argo and sank in deeper than their waist. (3) the 3 hour long work trying to get all but two of the Argos up a side hill trail thinking it would be easier and less steep than going back up the original hill we had come down. In the end the two Argos that went back up the original hill still had to utilize two points to winch up.
