Is a Argo your only ATV? How's maintenance on the Auroras?

The Argo is my only XTV/UTV/ATV now; I also have two snow machines (snow mobiles for non Alaska types). I used to have two 4 wheelers. I got rid of my 4 wheelers a while back. The only thing my first Argo didn't do that my 4 wheelers did was go fast. The Argo carried more people, carried more cargo, towed more and went place the ATVs could only dream of. So what I lost in speed, I gained in utility and mobility.
As for the maintenance on the Aurora. It really depends. For me, the maintenance on the Aurora and on my previous Argo was not much worse than it was on my ATVs. That is when you are the type of person that doesn't mind doing the maintenance. With that said, for the Aurora (or any other Argo) the big key is staying on top of the "preventative maintenance". Keeping the chains lubed, the air cleaner clean, changing the fluids out regularly. Keeping in clean... These machines will get you places you cannot walk out of. You can't just use and abuse an Argo and put it away and expect things to just stay good. The ATVs are definitely more forgiving when it comes to being "rode hard and put away wet".

How does it ride in rough conditions and how does it handle hills? I appreciate the insight I'm looking at buying a ATV. I move a good bit for work and like the fact that the Argo works just as well in snow as it does without.

@@wharmon7491 Couple of things on this. They are a rougher ride that ATVs and SxSs because there is no real suspension. That said though. when in rough conditions/hard pack trails, running just the tires, the ride is surprisingly smooth with the tire pressure down around 3PSI. You can run 2 PSI with the bead lock rims. Now, when you put the tracks on, you need to run the tires at a higher pressure (4-7 PSI, 7 being the max.). The higher tire pressure is needed to ensure no slippage in the tracks. However, the higher pressure means a harder tire so the ride on hard pack is rough. With that said, you just have to know the primary terrain you are going into. If where you are going is mostly hard pack and rocky, take the tracks off and air the tires down. If the area is mostly mud/marsh/muskeg or snow, then put the tracks on.
How are they on hills. This is where the differentiation is important. The 8 wheel Argos can handle steeper hills, both up and down and side hill, a lot better than stock ATVs and SxSs. The 6 wheel Argos, handle side hills great, but they can be tippy (no worse than any four wheeler ATV) up and down. Both models will climb better though. We find it lots of fun to go up to the base of a steep hill that ATVs and SxSs have to get a higher speed run at to get up the hill; meanwhile the Argo just powers up it at slow speed without much issue.
