Here I am again, back listening to this soul nourishing soundscape. Its been a year since I tried to take my own life, things have been tough. Mostly lows throughout the year, but I still pushed ahead. Not a day goes by where i dont think about what it would be like if I was dead, but i have things to live for. And people to give my love too, this song makes me resonate with my emotions very well. And it IS definitely the reason I'm still alive. And I WILL continue to struggle and live till the day I can no more, and when the universe decides to take me. I can rest knowing I did my best. And that's all anyone can really do, the world is cruel. So before our inevitable demises. Give love, without regret. And oh tell the person you like that you like them. You dont know the possibilities that you are missing out on, if you are holding back. Be strong, and be proud you've persevered through all of your struggles. This song brings back good times i had when i was younger:')
This reason this song resonates with me so much is because I first heard this song scrolling through tik tok. At the time I was contemplating taking my own life, till I scrolled down onto this one tiktok with a girl. The prettiest I've ever seen, and she said so many things that stuck with me two of them being "if you can make them happy please make them happy" and "if you can hold them, please hold them" now they aren't really all that life altering but I feel as if she was talking to me. And when she said all of those things this song played in the background and all of these memories came flooding back, from the times I've laughed, to the times I've cried and all the inbetweens. And most importantly I thought of my friends and how if I took this action. I would never see their amazing smiles again. I wrote a comment on this about 3 months ago like an hour after I failed my attempt, I'm so thankful that I didnt go through with and I'm so thankful for the creator of this channel making such long versions of songs that could possibly mean the difference of life and death for some people

I’ve almost made this some kind of diary for myself and honestly, it’s a nice little surprise every time i come back and see how i was doing the previous year. honestly though, 2023 was the roughest time of my life more so than the first time I commented here, i lost my house, my job, my family. pretty much everything in a very short period of time. i was lost for such a long time, i didn’t really know what to do or how to deal with these circumstances that i was given. for a long time i almost gave up, but here i am still going. a new job, almost a new place to live, i have contact with my family again.. things honestly do get better if you have the strength to just pull through. it can’t rain forever and the sunshine will always find its way back, life can be pretty shit most of the time but boy does it have its moments =)

a while ago, it got to the point where i went to sleep hoping that i wouldn’t wake up in the morning. it got so bad that i couldn’t stand to look at myself in the mirror because i felt like i was going to throw up. all i could feel when i saw myself was just utter sadness and anger and disappointment. i didn’t look like me. i didn’t feel like me. i didn’t act like me. and it’s hard feeling like that. i was sad and i don’t even know why. i have a good home life, amazing friends, a loving family, good teachers, and i can laugh during the day. but once i got home i felt so emotionally, physically and mentally exhausted. i have really bad anxiety and i remember one time i had to eat lunch alone because all of my friends weren’t there that day, and i was shaking so bad that i couldn’t even eat. anyway, thanks so much for this video :) time to cry to the entire thing!
I am so proud of you for how far you’ve come! It’s time to accept ourselves and I know it’s hard, but we can’t be anyone else accept ourselves.. so we need to learn to love ourselves no matter how hard it is.. if you wear makeup, put some on and make yourself feel better.. put on some clothes that make you feel good.. maybe have a little spa day.. it’s important to do things that make you feel good :) just know I think you’re beautiful .. you got this!

This song never fails to make me feel just sad because my friend sent it to me in a video where someone is talking about people becoming strangers and I know that she liked me at the time but I didn’t like her back. To me the worst feeling in the world is the feeling of two people who want to be with each other but can’t for reasons that aren’t in their control and I can’t help but think of that whenever I hear this song.
