A quick video on board my 1975 BMW 2002. Trying out my new action camera, so please excuse the quality. Give it 5 minutes, and get a feel for the M44's performance in a 2002

Good to see you’re getting it out and putting some miles on it. Hopefully going to be mapping mine soon. What diff are you going to go with? I’ve got a sports steering wheel & boss if you’re interested? Your rims would look good in a satin gold/bronze colour.

Love the bronze, quick question. Did you need to swap over the early m42 pan and oil pickup tube? Was EWS an issue at all? I have an m42 swapped 02 but recently picked up an m44 engine with a DASC on it. Planning my reswap.

Yes, the 44 pan won't fit, so you'll need to swap to your M42 pan (from an E30 I take it?). I have the chip for the EWS, so my car is immobilised. I'm sure you can have it written out of the DME, which is the norm, but I like the extra security.

@@werksinprogress6804 Yes, m42 from an e30. The m44 was from a 98, it came with the ews2 module and key/transponder but am unclear on how they could be incorporated to the m44 harness/ecu. Would be interested in how you did it if you have time to give me a rundown? Nope not uk, I am in California

Hi Niyaz. It’s certainly something I can sort for you, but it’d be a while till I could get my teeth into it, as I have limited time and a few projects waiting for my attention.
I take it you’re starting with a 316? 4 speed?

I do have some updates, and have yet to edit and upload them. Not just for this car neither!
Things took a turn for the worst for the W.I.P, but I’ll turn it round and get there! Keep an eye out for updates real soon
