I failed to emphasize this in the video, but wanted to give a big shoutout to Judith Skinner and Carol Skimmons for their contributions to the polymer clay world! The skinner blend is a popular and well known method nearly all clayers use to create gradients. Without Judith Skinner, we would still be manually rolling stripes of color to make gradients which could take hours and days. And thanks to Carol Simmons on introducing the idea that the skinner blend can be adjusted and tweaked for more customized color gradients so we can have more control over our color blends and have a better understanding of how colors of clay work.

This was a great video and you gave them enough credit... Almost every tutorial I've watched, it seems everyone expects a ridiculous amount of praise for these two ladies.. no need to go overboard... This was a great video, thank you..

You’re so good on explaining and teaching! I’m new on working with clay and I keep watching videos so I can learn the techniques and the possibilities and you are definitely one of the best to explain and show how to work with clay! Thank you so much and please keep adding more videos ❤

Wow, there are so many polymer clay videos around but very few actually teach something fundamental - this did.
Even that small strip of red it dominated the yellow. I'm going to do an experiment and stop the dominant color before it reaches the end of the clay.
I do not believe you failed to credit the originators of these techniques, you name the originators right in the title of your video!

The 2-part blend is lovely. Could you please list the specific clay and colors you used for the 2-part blend? The red doesn't look like red on my monitor but maybe alizarin crimson.

I sure would have liked to see more acknowledgement of both Judith Skinner and especially Carol Simmons in this video. It short changes the amount of work done by both of them to blow right past their contributions to using polymer clay. Additionally, to pull back the curtains on all of Carol’s work looks like yiu took her class and are now teaching it to the world. Does she know you did this? Did you let her know ahead of time? I just can’t believe you wouldn’t provide more attribution and a statement that Carol blessed this distribution.

I agree with Joey Barnes. ALSO, Sarah Shriver uses this technique. Years ago,I took a class from her AND a VHS tape class that used this technique in a lot of different ways. I know techniques cannot be copyrighted but please show some respect to those who teach this.

I'm not sure why everybody is calling this kind of blend a Simmons Blend. Sarah Shriver taught this way of blending colors in the early 1990s already, a long time before CS entered the stage. Maybe call it something neutral - like balanced blend.....
