    I haven't worked with polymer clay in such a long time and just recently decided to pull out all my clay supplies out of the closet. I remembered how much I enjoyed watching your videos back when I first discovered polymer clay and have been rewatching and going back through the backlog of videos I hadn't watched. It resparked my love of clay and brought up a lot of memories of all the stuff I've made thanks to you. I hope to see you come back to CZcams soon.

    I specifically went looking for a quick and easy to understand skinner blend tutorial and after looking at several that were so-so, I found this one and it is exactly what I needed. I wanted someone who would show me hands on putting it into the pasta machine! Thank you so much! You answered my questions and I could see for myself and your analogy of "staying in the lanes" was spot on! I am now subscribed to you. I don't know if you're still doing videos, but I hope so. I found an awesome tutorial for a kaleidoscope which I'm going to use to make a gift for someone, but I was having trouble with the clay because it kept getting wider and wider and the fold was getting too small. I forgot about holding your fingers in there to restrict the width, so thank you for reminding me. I was smooshing it back together, and that worked, but it kept getting wider and wider and it wasn't blending anymore. So this helped. Thank you.

    I love the practical nature of your video clips. TFS. Could you perhaps also comment on the use of UV resin for polymer clay? And perhaps compare the various brands? It is quite an out lay of money and I don't know whether it will turn yellow, become brittle, change the colour or crack after some time.

    • @winstonchaychel
      @winstonchaychel Před 5 lety

      In my experience UV resin hasn't yellowed (it says it's good for 10 years before yellowing), it hasn't cracked on me either.
      I buy a brand in a purple bottle on Amazon that ships from overseas to the US, so it takes a little bit of time to get here but worth it. It's also cheaper to get it that way VS buying a small tiny 5ml bottle you'll only get a few uses out of. I then pour some from my bigger bottle into my smaller one with the control tip if needed, but usually I can place some on an old silicone mat and use a toothpick for more control.

    Hi Cindy. I haven't been here in a few years. I'm playing with junk journaling these days. I have a LOT of Premo that is at least 4 years old and the blocks are pretty hard. They've been in room temperature all this time...65 to 72 degrees. Does it ever get too old to condition back to life? Any advice on how to do that?
    I came by to see what Cernit is & found your video on it. It was good to see you again! But I'm concerned YOU haven't been here in years either! Are you okay?! Sending good thoughts!!🙏🌞❤

      Hello Margaret, thank you so much for your kind words and your concern. We are doing ok and will be back on CZcams soon. We stepped away to do a rebuild on our business, and it has taken way longer than expected. We have continued to do a weekly LIVE Q&A Broadcast on Facebook, which everyone is welcome to participate in. It is every Wednesday at 12 noon Pacific Time on our Facebook Page: facebook.com/polymerclay I regard to your older clay it should be fine. I have several videos here in my channel for conditioning hard polymer clay using a variety of techniques. You'll want to check those out. Thanks for checking in, and hopefully we will be back producing new content for CZcams soon. Take care!

      @@PolymerClayTutor Glad you are OK!!!! I was worried as well, this world is too big..I sound exactly like Margaret into the junk journaling era at the moment.. I miss polymer clay but I'm lost in multiple other crafts too. Quilting, Spinning, Weaving, Junk journals and collage art, including gelli art. So many crafts, so little time.....ahhhh lol...See you soon!! Glad your business is well too!!

    Hi Cindy, I hope you're well:-) just wanted to say that I miss watching your videos... I guess you're busy with other things these days,your website and all, I understand, but I'm sure I'm just one of those people who love your tutorials and advice:-)

      Thank you Judith for saying that! We are doing our best. We will get back to doing more CZcams videos as soon as we can. In the meantime, there are around 500 videos that you could watch to keep you busy until then. 99% are still relevant and helpful, even if they were filmed a long time ago. Have a wonderful Christmas!

      I've seen your CZcams videos, probably all of it 😁😁
      But there are things I'm interested in, I liked the intros, so after my Christmas holiday, I'll sign up to be a member on your website because I think you're amazing and a great inspiration. And a great teacher as well.
      Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎄

    Dear Cindy, we miss you dearly here. Hope you can soon bring us more of your videos to CZcams. I know you don't have to, but you have spoiled us rotten and it was so nice to see your videos at night in bed before going to sleep on my ipad. I am reseing some of your videos but I would like you reviewing new stuff and new techniques. Just so that you know that we do notice. Thanks.

      Thank you so much Kialaya for your kind and thoughtful words! We haven't been filming CZcams videos because Doug is too busy building our new website. There are more than 500 videos for you to go through, so that should keep you busy for awhile. Once he is available again, we will get back at it.
