  • YeeFit Gear & Review - This is my unboxing and initial impressions of the #COREEquipment 10 Person Instant Cabin Tent with lighting I purchased at Costco. This is a 14 ft. by 10 ft. by 6.5 ft. tent that has some great features. It may or may not be available right now, but this gives you an idea of some of the features I look for in a decent family tent of this size . I hope this video is helpful, Enjoy! #Outdoorlife #Costco

    Used this tent for the first time a couple weeks ago. Loved it - plenty of room for the kid and pup. The built in lights were a hit with my friends that were also camping. We had a couple strong wing gusts -as long as you were tied down properly, it didn’t budge. I always use stronger stakes than what come with the tent - that’s a whole lotta tent for those tiny stakes to do much.

      That's awesome, I'm glad that the tent is performing well and the built in lighting is a unique feature 😀

    I appreciate your video so much! I just bought one at Costco today for an upcoming camping trip. Thank you for setting this tent up so I know what to expect. I hurried to Amazon to buy D batteries once I saw the part where you showed us the Core battery box.

    I have this tent. On our first outing we went through some light morning rains and a 4 1/2 hour evening deluge! This tent is waterproof/ storm proof if staked out properly.
    As someone else said, it would probably still be a good idea seam seal just in case.

    The only thing is the front T door @ the bottom is Velcro and that will let the bugs in if not done properly! Great tent! If I had one I ed modify 2 things {as a seamstress} the divider & the base T door, instead of Velcro put in metal zipper!

    Nice thorough review for this tent. My local Costco and surrounding Costco is out of stock on this tent. We are a family of 5. Husband bought Ozark Trail 6 person instant lighted cabin tent. He was sure that the tent was spacious for us. We went camping for the first time on Friday and found out that it only fit 2 queen air mattress and no room left after we brought in our ice chest and cooking gears. This Core tent is on my top list to hunt down and buy. Our Ozark Trail tent have ripped after using it once due to my husband’s carelessness of stretching it while trying to put it back in the bag.

    • @DarrenYee

      How do you like your air matress's? I maybe in the market in picking up some for the tent if they are not too expensive. I have a breakdown and storage tips video coming out today, lol. Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it.

      @@DarrenYee We love our queen air mattress by Sierra Designs . Mattress is decently priced. It’s regularly $69.95 but currently on sale for $59.95 on Amazon. The air mattress does sit low but it sure beats sleeping on the cold tent floor. Looking forward to watching your next video. I’ll have my husband watch along with me.

    I always use seam seal on all my tents . I mean I usually take it out of bag and seal every seam before using ,I also treat the tent . I have Ozark trail instant tent ,never leaked not one time . I also do garden hose on tent . First thing I do is to get better pegs .We had ten person instant tent but granddaughter put it up wet .I have lights that I run off either electric or power pack . Good D batteries last along time with lights .

    • @DarrenYee
      @DarrenYee  Před 3 lety

      Those are some great tips, I will have to test it with a garden hose and possible get some better stakes, but for now the stakes are working fine. I also treat all my tents with a waterproof and bug spray. Is there a particular product you use for large tents to seam seal?

    We have this tent and love it so much! we took it camping this last weekend and (our fault) didn’t stake our tent down very well. Wind destroyed it, and now we want to repurchase from costco but can’t find it anywhere! 😭💔 so heartbroken! I love the light feature.

    Great video thanks so much for a great review. I was about to order the 9 person version with no lights from Amazon for $250 but after seeing your video, I immediately ordered this larger more feature rich model from Costco for $20 less.
    Have you used it a few times yet? How does it perform in wind and rain?

    • @DarrenYee
      @DarrenYee  Před 2 lety

      Hello and thank you for sharing your experience. As for testing I have taken it out a couple times and it has performed well in strong winds with the guy lines tethered out. I also bought a tarp or ground cloth to go underneath as added protection and easier clean up. I have not tested it in rain yet. Enjoy!

      Yes it looks like they updated the 10 person tent and added a screening room. I checked the website and if you want something similar to the one in the video look at the 9 person tent with lighting. Thanks for watching

    How many hours can you run the lights on a full charged Power Bank?

    • @DarrenYee
      @DarrenYee  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Nick the power bank runs off of 4 D batteries and will last about 24 hours continuous use. Depending on what settings of lighting (low, high, Ambient) the time will vary. I usually just hook up a rechargable usb power bank and it will last the weekend with various use.
