Forgot to mention that when extruding the cage 8:00 make sure that the normals are correct, otherwise the binding in the last step won’t happen. Cheers!
Also around 6:54 7:00 , you select the "first point" so root doesn't move when adjusting the curves to not overlaps or intersect each other. I had to slow down the video to see this. Although I still don't know how he is moving the points in a Brush like a manner? can you explain how you are adjusting?
@@NazarNoschenko Thank you, yes, this videos helps. One thing, I notice you are de/selecting the first points, (so the roots dont move,) but when I do it and use Proportional editing, it's deselects the points. and everything moves, well, continuous, but basically, I cant keep the First point deselected. I can't seem to keep it so the points are protected from edits. Can you help?
If anyone had a problem with the mesh deform at 8:00 like me despite your normals being fine and your cage completely surrounding all your hairs, try bump up your precision in the Mesh Deform modifier to 7, it takes a minute or so to calculate, but that's what fixed it for me. YMMV
For me doesn't work anything. My normals are ok. I duplicate the plane. In edit mode , inside the duplicated plane, I extrude the vertex. then I select the eyebrows object and create modifier-mesh deform. After that I select the duplicated plane inside the field "Object". When I try to move the duplicated plane the eyebrows doesn't move. Where am I did wrong?
For anyone else who got stuck on the mesh deformer part, I fixed it by making a new cube using that instead (after adding more edge loops to it). I don't know what was wrong with the original 'Cage', maybe it had somehting to do with coming from a plane, and I made sure that all the hairs were inside the original cage too. But the new cage which was not made from a plane works perfectly.
if anybody is still having trouble with the deform modifiers - make sure you are using the MESH deform for eyebrows>cage and the SURFACE deform for cage>controller
Ive went back to this tutorial so many times. I still cant get it!!! Ugh. I made a Mesh deformer for the Ebrows to the Cage and its Not deforming the cage. ugh... I go into edit mode and nothing happened .
For those who are having a problem when adding the mesh deform and finding that the mesh isn't moving with the cage, click on the cage and go into edit mode. On the top, you'll see "mesh" alongside the other buttons of the toolbar. Click that, scroll down until you see normals, and then click flip. Now, when you're going to add mesh deform onto the eyebrows and parent the cage, it will work! You should flip the normals for the "plane" too when adding the surface deform and parenting the plane. It should then move in edit mode
Whoa! Found this after struggling with hair particle system for hours and just not getting the eyebrows look good. Totally going to try this method instead. Thanks!
to solve the problem with binding on 8:20 in my case creating a new cage (I made it from the cube and made it a little bit bigger) helped. и спасибо Вам, Назар, за туториал. от души просто
Love it. Absolutely very helpful tutorial. Subscribed n liked & saved it to my playlist for watching it time & again. Lots of love and respect from West Bengal , India.
Amazing.Ive been inspired as of lare to get into Digital 3d modeling and im not too sure where to start off for practice. My laptops a bit well bad so things get a bit delayed when using blender.I love this model and the eybrows.
PS this really shows why your characters look so realistic sometimes. The amount of detail you put into them is mindblowing. Great tut man and sharing your knowledge with others!!!
This is awesome! Ive been trying geonodes and particle systems but they dont pan out well for the eyebrows (its much better to draw them yourself) Im exited to try this out.
If some of you have trouble with the mesh deform doesn't pick up the eyebrows, do this simple step.. re-create the cage from cube, no extrude, just subdivide it by using ctrl+R and edit as you see fit, and then up the precision level like 8 or something in mesh deform modifier. Also copying it to new blend just to be safe, at least it worked for me.. Hope it helps!
czcams.com/video/5pxZtmlqtvc/video.html - Im pretty sure he used a similar technique in this video where he made braids. He defined the shape of the hair with curves then used a plugin called Hairnet to convert it into actual hair. : )
Please... please.... please.... do a tut on how to create realistic human head hairs in eevee in blender 2.8 (including shading). Please, I request. Loving your explaining style.
No cheap stuff like putting jpeg textures on it. That's the real thing! That high class thing! Didn't expect anything less from you. What an absolutely phantastic tutorial! There's just one tiny thing that's not completely amazing about your stuff: there isn't enough of it! ;) So, how about a tutorial on the way you texture your skin?
Also any tips for brush setting tweaks? I get way more marker like results even though I'm pretty sure I had the same brush and size/strength. I wonder if they've tweaked the default stuff since this. Also how to make that hair texture next plz
Hey great video as always i love it. I tried exactly as u did and i cannot control the cage with the plane after surface deform. I mean the last deform part does not work for me after recalculating the normals
Awesome video! Would this method work with bendy bones applied to the face? I am not intending on using shapekeys, would the eyebrows in this method respond to the bones as efficiently?
Forgot to mention that when extruding the cage 8:00 make sure that the normals are correct, otherwise the binding in the last step won’t happen. Cheers!
How to check if normals are correct? How do I correct them if they are in wrong position

dude .. I have a new fav teacher, love it
This is brilliant and looks so good man. Great even for realistic characters! Can you show some tips how you are making that gorgeous eyelashes too?

This is genius and perfect! What a great solution!!
