DS9 is by far my favourite Star Trek show and you've captured its heart perfectly. For a show set on a space station it boldly went further than any Star Trek show before it and since had gone before with it both its single and serialised storylines and the depth of its character development of not just in main credits but also those that supported all the way across those seven wonderful seasons. To paraphrase Captain Benjamin Sisko's speech to his crew in "What You Leave Behind" - A part, a very important part of my childhood growing up watching TV, will always remain there at Deep Space Nine.

I really, really, really love this. I've been infatuated with deep space nine ever since my first viewing, and this video makes me feel a deep nostalgia for something I haven't even known for a year. Thank you for making this, you did a fantastic job.

How do people make youtube content off of things like Star Trek and not get taken down by CZcams for it? I made a fun fan thing yesterday and it just hits a wall....
Well, for starters, it's not monetized (at least by the creator). Paramount and/or The Rigs could theoretically monetize it. Second, it's a fundamentally transformative work, which makes it at least arguably within copyright. Idk if it has ever been argued in court, but that's something you might look into the legal side of AO3 (ArchiveOfOurOwn) about. Third, unlike ten/twenty/thirty years ago, copyright holders are now at least partially aware of how interactive transformative works (fanfic, fanvids, etc) are very good for their fandoms, which in turn is good for their product and/or franchise. Therefore they by and large now do not harass small-time fanwork creators as long as they are not just uploading whole-ass episodes. I don't know what you mean by "hitting a wall". Do you just not find an audience? That is typical for those who do not yet have an established subscriber base. Or do you mean that CZcams and/or someone claiming to be the copyright holder is harassing you? There are people who make money going around and claiming videos "on behalf of" copyright holders on CZcams. It's a known and ongoing problem.
