Many people asking for translation, thus posting in the main thread. This is inspired from an Ode to Lord Shiva, considered the God of the Gods and The Destroyer according to Hindu Mythology. The language is Sanskrit. I was blow when I saw RC did a song in Sanskrit, and it sounds sick. I have compiled the parts used in the song along with English Translation for anyone who is curious: Starts with 'Gayatri Mantra' followed by the 'Strota' (Ode). Devadevam jagannatham devesam vrushabhadwajam, Namami sirasa devam, kim no mrutyu karishyathi. The Lord, Who is the God of gods, Who is the lord of the earth, And who has the bull flag. What can death do to the one, Who salutes with his head to the god. Anatham avyayam santham akshamala dharam haram, Who is limitless, Who cannot be explained, Who is peaceful, Who is the killer, And who wears the garland of ruraxs (literally translates to furious eyes. Aaandham, paramam nithyam, kaivalya pada dhayinam, Who is happiness, Who is beyond thought, Who is stable, And who grants salvation. Swargapavarga datharam srushti sthithyanthakarinam, Who grant heaven and salvation, Who looks after creation, upkeep and destruction. This keeps repeating, with some other names of Shiva thrown in along with 'Namah/Namami' which means 'I bow to thee'.

Not a lot of people will notice this. I absolutely love how the guitars were never palm muted during the whole song. That's a modern metal thing to do but this is not a metal song. It's a prayer. All the chords were allowed to play fully to respect the religious element of this song.
Small pronounciation tip: The consonants with a dot beneath or above are pronounced "retroflex", meaning with a curled back tongue. It's what makes all Indian accents so instantly recognisable.one exception is the n with the dots. With the dot below it is pronounced retroflex, when above velar, so like an n in English before a k/c or g. The other is the m with the dot. In ancient times it marked that the preceeding vowel was nasalised, ie spoken "through" the nose, but this is not done anymore generally.
Mannn. Rotting Christ has been one of the most consistent metal band for the past 25 years. Not one of their release was bad. Followed their transition from early grindcore right until now. Never disappoint. Also nice to see Rudra's vocalist got a chance here. Underrated band. Hail RC!
Hindus, I am glad your gods have not yet been stomped out. Props to those who can hail to their gods without being painted an outcast to the mainstream masses of christianity and its components. We may hail to different gods, hindus, but cheers to you. And cheers to those gods you hail, theyre still prominent.
Too late my man the MSM here in India are trying to portray us as bad. Making fun of Hindus is secular and criticizing the other religions makes us intolerant. I am not against criticism of religions, but targeting only one and leaving others causes segregation and spreads hate between people of respective faiths.
Great song as expected from RC, Therion also made a song depicting Hindu Culture with "Eye Of Shiva". Metal bands should explore more this wondrous culture.
When a prayer sounds like a summoning and a line says one who wears a garland of plucked eyes you know that Lord Shiva the destroyer is a rebel and a metal GOD

Sounds absolutely awesome. Salutes from Australia.
Fully agree. Thought it was death metal but im blown away.
This gives me goosebumps every time! Captures the spirit of Shiva as Rudra/AdiYogi. Totally imagining sitting at the foot of the mighty, unforgiving Himalaya & listening to this...
It's not anti-god, instead its a prayer
@May ur fantastic answer.
@May ur Can I please steal that answer of your's for future arguments? One cannot put words in a better way than this!
@May ur plz don't be an American and assume everyone is illiterate of the scriptures. Assumption leads to folly and pride. As far as learning Sanskrit is concerned, it is futile to assume a person with my last name has null knowledge of the dead language if not more. Reject your obtained wisdom, there may be more to gather. Tatha astu.
@@swarnadeepbhattacharya6809 not every American is illiterate. Even some of us white folks are rebels, and educated.
it seems much more logical to me that there are gods in everything around us, as opposed to one god who’s responsible for everything sitting up in heaven watching us, jealous for our love...
I come back to this every now and then.. so peaceful 😌🔥✨
First time I came across this stuff. I am a die hard heavy metal fan. I love Eleine, Alisha White, Melisha and other metal singers. Can't believe to see some ancient hindu stuff. Tons of love from India. I heard Rotting Christ in Ancient Greek it is also a marvel.
The best art sound of my life, Rotting Christ is amazing they are the best of the best. Congratulations.... of brazil.
Man is God asleep
And God is man awakened..

Hinduism is the most glorious Pagan Religion
I'm a Proud Hindu, a Proud Pagan🤘
What's pagan exactly and how is it related to Hinduism?
@@naraendrareddy273 in early definitions, paganism meant any religion that didn't come from abraham. Therefore, Hinduism is the largest pagan religion and also the oldest religion still being practiced.
@@naraendrareddy273 Paganism also means belief in multiple gods. For example Christianity, Judaism, Islam is all one God. Paganism is one of the earliest kinds of religion humans have been practicing. Usually belief in gods of nature or god of the sky, god of death etcetera. Almost all paganism religions involve human and child sacrifice, so it's usually not a very nice thing.
@@johantitulaer1052 Pagan religions are ancient...times when death rates were much higher than today. Moreover, those religions like Hinduism consider death to be an integral part of life. NICE is just a matter of perspective.

Sanskrit ( autoglotónimo संस्कृतम् saṃskṛtam ) is a classical language of India , plus one of the oldest documented , after the Hittite and Mycenaean Greek Indo-European languages Sanskrit is mainly used as a ceremonial language in Hindu rituals , in the form of hymns and mantras. Its pre-classic form , Vedic Sanskrit ( the ritual language of the Vedic religion ) is one of the oldest members of the Indo-European family

I absolutely love how the guitars were never palm muted during the whole song. That's a modern metal thing to do but this is not a metal song. It's a prayer.
All the chords were allowed to play fully to respect the religious element of this song.

Hi baby
@@Vladokaza can you translate it for us?
Small pronounciation tip: The consonants with a dot beneath or above are pronounced "retroflex", meaning with a curled back tongue. It's what makes all Indian accents so instantly recognisable.one exception is the n with the dots. With the dot below it is pronounced retroflex, when above velar, so like an n in English before a k/c or g. The other is the m with the dot. In ancient times it marked that the preceeding vowel was nasalised, ie spoken "through" the nose, but this is not done anymore generally.
Thanks for the lyrics captain!
Mannn. Rotting Christ has been one of the most consistent metal band for the past 25 years. Not one of their release was bad. Followed their transition from early grindcore right until now. Never disappoint. Also nice to see Rudra's vocalist got a chance here. Underrated band.
Hail RC!
Underrated ? They are one of most famous band in Greece :))
Wow, just wow!
the best song i heard in this year
Hindus, I am glad your gods have not yet been stomped out. Props to those who can hail to their gods without being painted an outcast to the mainstream masses of christianity and its components. We may hail to different gods, hindus, but cheers to you. And cheers to those gods you hail, theyre still prominent.
The Nagalfar awesome comment couldn’t agree more . Hail the Hindu Gods .
Too late my man the MSM here in India are trying to portray us as bad. Making fun of Hindus is secular and criticizing the other religions makes us intolerant.
I am not against criticism of religions, but targeting only one and leaving others causes segregation and spreads hate between people of respective faiths.
We will never let our culture die!
Cheers to you too mate!

Great song as expected from RC, Therion also made a song depicting Hindu Culture with "Eye Of Shiva". Metal bands should explore more this wondrous culture.
