Rainbow Valley is RIDICULOUSLY Hard! - Rollercoaster Tycoon - Openrct2

- Rainbow Valley is a doozy. No landscaping, no cutting down trees, no editing water. So I had to work around the natural terrain in a tricky and costly fashion, making this a very difficult scenario to beat.
To win, I have to attract 1000 guests to the park by the end of year 4. Not only did I double that, but I also built lots of custom rollercoasters along the way.
RollerCoaster Tycoon 1 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 are Theme Park Management Simulation games, created by the legendary Chris Sawyer. In this video, I am playing OpenRCT2, a modded version of the game that introduces some bug fixes, cool new features, and quality of life improvements.

Great job! The coasters are such a nightmare with this park, however the S-bend really comes in handy as it can weave in between trees quite nicely - would have come in really handy for the last bit of the wooden coaster there!
When I was a young lad this took me 3 tries to beat. I also didn't know you could charge more than 50 cents higher than the default price lol. Or 20 for umbrellas
Yeah. Before the internet, we all had to figure it out on our own. When I played as a kid, I charged what I would want to pay for rides (like $2 for rollercoasters), then wondered why I always ran out of money 😅
Really? 1,000 guests in 4 years is FAR easier than Amity Dreadfield’s 3k guest goal in the same time period
Played both, I can assure you Rainbow Valley is harder 😆
It’s the tree restriction that makes it so hard.
sweet another RCT video. yea this one was difficult. though i enjoy watching you play it,
One feedback I have is the moment your charging for park entrance, you have to take a sample on how many money each guests has. Most are typically between $60-90, but some are as low as $40-70. You want to be careful with how much you are charging a park entrance otherwise either your guests can’t ride anything and leave right away, or get turn around at park entrance if they can’t afford to get in, which could be bad if running close on min guest requirements for each park’s goals.
Other than that your rides look good.
Micro loops all along the water and all campaigns constantly
Good strat
@@azungu1190 yeah theres certain ground tiles which can make under ground path loops also
Did it on my first try lol thankfully. The tool to help you build above the ground was not available to me on rct1 😮
*Cough* Ridiculously...
Funny story, I actually spelled it wrong the first time I uploaded it, caught it, and fixed it. Then there was a technical problem before I published it so I had to take it down and reupload it, and I messed up the spelling again 😂
Thanks for catching it, I fixed it again
First ever episode without "Sorry trees, had to do it!" 😉
Yup. Hopefully the last! 😂
First park with negative carbon emissions 😂😂😂😂
At least 1 tree was added which couldn't be removed 😅
Definitely my least favorite scenario
