I'm not against them getting married whatsoever but why can't they pay for it why is it always the taxpayer who foots the bill? I have just had my working tax credit cut my boyfriend works like a horse and pays his taxes how is this fair? £300.000 on a dress? Ridiculous and our NHS is in crisis think about how many people's lives could be changed with that money
Absolutely none. The amount of money although sounding large really isn’t. If you put the amount of money the royal family get from the tax payer back into the government once it’s been spread around different departments and bureaucracy you’d be lucky if your local hospital got a new toilet role out of it. And although I know some people don’t like to here it the royal family does generate a lot of cash for this country whether it be through tourism or attracting investment into Britain. The royal family has an influence around the world that no politician could ever have.
