The red bird is a Cardinal.
Hey there! Your video 'Dam Fishing for Anything that Bites (Whitebass Catch & Cook)' was so enjoyable and informative! Your passion for fishing and cooking shines through. Thanks for sharing this exciting adventure-it's inspiring to see your outdoor skills and love for nature!
Watching your video teaches me how important it is to use the drag on the reels
Thats a Cardinal! Thats cool!
When I was stationed at Fort Riley a buddy of mine caught a 55lb Flathead catfish on "just a crappie jig" tipped with a minnow. We were fishing for Sauger/Walleye. Took almost 2 hours to land it on trout gear, still not sure how we pulled it off.
But yeah, point is...never know what will hit "just a crappie jig". lol
Another great episode, Samong. Really enjoyed this trip having my coffee this morning.
Love the videos.Time for more Alpine lake hikes/catch and cook.đ
The red birds are called Cardinals (Yes the Football team is named after them) And I see them daily in Kansas. They are native here and very beautiful!
I'm surprised Piscifun hasn't reached out to prostaff you yet (or maybe they did). You'd be a perfect candidate for sponsoring their gear given the multi species fishing you do from sturgeon, trout, to panfish.
Nice bro!!! I guess you weren't lying hahaha
YAY!!! Kansas!
I don't mean to be disrespectful, but I'm shocked, that you, as an outdoorsman, do not recognize a cardinal! I got a good laugh out of that. Fun fishing!
The red bird in a Cardinal.
Dam, that's a nice spillway. đ
Fun stuff bud
You should come fish at Devils lake North Dakota. Try those white bass, walleyes and pikes. Also try yellow bass down fairmont mn. The yellow bass are small but taste very good.
that carp is called a buffalo carp
Sandbass is delicious, scoring it so it doesnt string out comes off as chunks and peels off bone. and getting season inside and just a small bit of oil and more butter so it doesnt burn off. then blacken it is great whole cooked. The fins are great down to where you can't eat. And filleted and fried is great. Save the heads for blue and flathead bait. Great content on all your videos bud good stuff. May God bless you in all your adventures and your whole family and friends
Nice video. That was a large buffalo!
Lake Nacimiento here in California, we are to cut the gills asap if we are keeping white bass. But the white bass seems to spoil a lot faster..so bleed filet and freeze. Or heavy ice.
we have a lot red cardinals in minnesota.
My wife had the same thing in Thailand. I'm a big dude, but that thing had decent room on the drivers side. Felt like a go kart.
That bird is a cardinal. I know we don't really have any in Washington, but still...
Also, the blue Jays we have here are very different than the Eastern ones.
The only time I can get those buffalo to bite is when they are spawning. They are usually pretty aggressive towards smaller fish.
I love being so into the outdoors, nature and wildlife I have at least a basic all around knowledge of things like ID on plants, trees, birds, other critters and fish even outside of here in the Northwest where we're from. So I immediately knew that bird was a Male Northern Cardinal. Such beautiful birds.
We now get White Pelicans in Oregon consistently for some reason, who are tropical. We have our native brown pelicans who remain on the Coast, but those white Pels were a hell of a surprise when I saw a huge mass of them at the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge last September.
There's some big hybrids in there as well
Bird is a Cardinal
for white bass it's best fillet and that bloody or fishy taste is there. Even by bleeding the fish u will still get a hint of fishy taste. The ultimate fish in that white bass family u should try and fish for is striped bass they are a little more enjoyable (to eat and fight) overall
Guess there are no cardinals in Washington?
Nope
No, but they're still known. At least I thought they were...đ
@@thaddaeusjohn guess Sy isnt a MLB fan :)
Didn't know there was white bass in that area
There are Jay's in Washington state they are a member of the cardinal family. I believe.
Making me hungry đ. I wish to join you one day for an adventure like this!
Fun!
Buffalo carp usually hit when you run across their nest. Not a easy fish to catch when their not spawning.
You need to comeback to Oklahoma, hybrid season just start. I would love to take you for hybrid fishing
You can use one third the fish weight in line to catch fish. Done it all my life. But most Are The same weight in test pound.
I seen a photo of you with my wifeâs aunt in Kansas. Thought it was you lol. Guess weâre related somehow.
You picked the worst place to fish below when the water is that high. That is Truman dam you are fishing on the point. it is only a few feet deep until you hit the drop off.
No rice! đ
Nothing better than a vehicle that will get you fuel milage and hopefully very dependable and has some kinda power.
Cardinal
You should try sheephead/freshwater drum next time. Not the big ones but the white bass size ones. I think they're better than white bass. White bass is just more abundant.
Cardinal. Family corvidae. Related to crows and jays.
Best eating fish.. and my favorite, crappie! Next time, remove the red line, its bad tasting fat. And i always filet them so you can trim it out.
Samong you have to do more cooking videos. It will blow up.
I believe that cardinal is a member of the Jay family.
Good video. Crappie if u want it firm catchem ice fishing. Summer time they can get mushy.
Happy Fathers Live Longer Day
Samong the secret to cooking white bass is filet out and remove the Red off the filet. Leaving the skin on doesn't do it justice.. love your content brother
Nice videos bro. You should come fish Oklahoma. Striper fishing is good atm
Whitebass is good eating!
Bass also has less bones to pick out.
A lot of times, we've found white bass to be wormy. May depend on time of year. Cold water may firm up the flesh.
Thats my state bird! Cardinal!
David covered his bass with all salt lol
That's a cardinal
the other side (west bledsoe ferry) is deeper
I see those red bird everyday
Red cardinal we call it spirit bird
Bobby Garland!
What rod is that?
truman ham, osage river warsaw missouri
That looks like Warsaw Missouri? I live an hour from there
đđđđ
Im in Kansas...where are you fishing?
Red Cardinal, NC state bird.
Dang brother, wish we could of met up. That's like hr away from me.
That bird is souwoop
St louis
Thats a Cardinal,Samong''
I read "whitebass" and thought.." There aren't any white bass in WA"đ
đđ
Red bird was a male cardinal
Mirage got smaller.đ
You should go fish down in Cali in San Diego Bay for sandbass, calico bass, spotted Bay bass, white seabass, Corvina & halibut! You would flip out at what you catch in a day & how many!
If you shore fish,
8lb line, 3/16-1/4 Oz darter head jig, with a redrum or Bay smelt color big hammer swim bait! IT... IS... đ°!!! If you go on a boat, just go bigger & heavier on the tackle.
15lb line, 1/2-3/4 Oz jig & 4-5inch hammers. All day fish & they will fight harder than any fish of its size.
Where do you went to?
What does it matter if it's a bite or a snag you caught fish that's what matters
Aren't those striper, not white bass?
đWowđ§Ąđ§Ąđ§Ąđđđđđ
Itâs a small mouth buffalo cause of the way the lip is shaped down big mouth donât have that
Seem like your in oaklahoma ?
He's in Kansas. It's in the title and he mentions it in the video.
That's Truman dam in MO
I think that's a striped bass or striper not a white bass.
First
You should bleed your fish if you don't want that dark meat
đ¨Much love đŁâď¸âď¸đŻđâď¸đIn Jesus name đŻfish looks good đ đĽ°đđť
That rod & reel look awesome!
The rod has quality components & a perfect parabolic bend.
I'm curious to know what model of rod & reel those are?
Must not be a baseball fan.
The cardinals? Lol!
Can you pin point that dam. I want to try
