There are 3 platoon within the company on the ground and any one can be attacked at any time as your fighting 360 ! Doesn't matter where you put ross he's on the frontline with the soldiers, He can be at the front and the rear gets attacked can be at the back and front platoon gets attacked! No clever editing at all he's showing you the way it was he's just at the rear of whatever platoon he's with that day he's not going to be point man of a section he would be at the back but still in the thick of it.

Honestly, as someone who always wanted to join but didn't, I do have some regrets over not doing it... Believing you're not good enough before actually trying isn't a good enough reason to not do it in my opinion and you aren't born like them, you dont transform over night they were trained over time to be this way and Pollock not realising that he got shot is pretty natural when you're pumped on adrenaline lol War is war and all these scary ways of dying have always been there. If the enemy can kill you effectively, they'll do it but it doesnt happen everyday, there is a certain amount of luck in war where you or the guy next to you can be killed instantly and I get why that would scare some away but you could be killed doing anything, you could die today falling down some stairs but just because you could die from the stairs you dont shy away from them, you still use them and the same context goes here, you're better off not worrying about it until it happens because we can die at any moment for any reason and the most cautious people cant escape it so live for the moment not the worry.

Most soldiers serving would want to leave Afghanistan a better place even if they hated the place because there's pride to be had in it. The British were in control of Afghanistan for less than 50 years over 100 years ago so why you're blaiming imperialism on that I have no idea... Western powers, even if they are doing this to gain something will want to beat the Taliban and improve the country because otherwise it'll look bad and western powers are at the mercy of the people that voted them in.

It's to establish what type of injured category he falls under depending on what's wrong with the person which is called triage. If I remember correctly it ranges from T1 to T4.

I bought this entire series on DVD about 15 years ago now and I gave it 10 outta 10!
Ross got in the thick of it truly giving us a chance to see the continuous evolution of war and the birth of where warfare is today. An awesome documented series that is definitely worth giving a weekend up for to sit and watch!

This was my favourite series by Ross kemp and really put him on the map as a reporter. Usually juat playing the hard man but really put him self in a position no wants to be in just for entertainment and education on what was really going on in Afghanistan. Top lad.

Ross Kemp is the best. Being on the frontlines and bringing the stories to the world is remarkable. Never a bad story from this guy

10:55 another inch and half maybe less and it was game over, do not pass go and do not collect £200.
This series is still the leading documentary on the war. Ross and his cameraman who I am ashamed I cannot remember his name, were 5metres aways from every attack. The last episode in this series is heart breaking stuff.
Thank you to all who serve to keep our country safe!!!
