Thanks for exploring Serampore my home town .. one fact which can be verified is that the William Carrey translated and printed the first Bengali Bible in India here from the Serampore press. Also the Botanical Garden in Howrah Shibpur was originally started here in Serampore and thereafter shifted to its current location.

I just visited Mahesh Chandra Datt Sandesh Shop last year in 2021 from Mumbai and taste was great . I went to SERAMPORE for Audit Purpose. One Fuchkawala also very famous next to this shop towards Temple.

দারুন লাগলো, স্পেশালী বাসন্তী কেবিনে যাওয়াটা আমায় টাচ করলো বেশ। এখনো মাঝে মাঝে যাই, ছোট বেলায় অনেক গেছি। অনেক স্মৃতিবিজড়িত। আগে উপরে বসেও খাওয়া হতো, এখন উপরের সেকশন বন্ধ করে দিয়েছে। আমার মনে হয় আবার ভিড় বাড়ানো উচিৎ এই বাসন্তী কেবিনে।
এইটা কোথায় স্টেশনের একদম কাছেই কী? জায়গাটা যদি একটু বুঝিয়ে বলতেন খুব ভালো হয়।
@@kuhalidhara7507 না স্টেশন থেকে একটু দূরেই। কালিতলার কাছে। ব্রীজের তোলা দিয়ে কালিতলার দিকে গেলে ব্রিজের বাম দিকে পরে।
স্টেশন থেকে যেতে টোটোয় যেতে হলে পাঁচুবাবুর বাজারের মুখে নামতে হবে, একদম ব্রিজের তলায়। ওখানে যাকেই জিজ্ঞেস করুন দেখিয়ে দেবে।
ওদিকে টোটো ছাড়া আর কিছু যায়না।
মীর দা তুমি মুসলিম আমরা হিন্দু, এই বিভেদ টা কোনো দিনও আমি তোমার মধ্যে দেখিনি। তুমি হিন্দু তথা বাংলা সাহিত্য টা আমাদের হিন্দ বা বাঙ্গালীদের থেকেও অনেক গুণ বেশি জানো কিংবা জ্ঞান অর্জন করেছো।

দিন যাচ্ছে আর আপনাদের উপস্থাপন আরো ভালো হচ্ছে। সত্যি কোলকাতাকে জানতে পারছি, আপনাদের ভিডিও দেখে এখন কলকাতায় বেড়াতে যেতে ইচ্ছে করছে। আপনাদের চ্যানেলটা আমার কাছে কোলকাতার ডায়রির মতো লাগছে। কখনও গেলে এই চ্যানেলের রেফারেন্স ব্যবহার করবো। কলকাতার লোক তাদের ঐতিহ্যকে আকরে ধরে রাখে। অসাধারণ।

পুরো ভিডিওটা দেখলাম। খুব খুব খুব ভালো লেগেছে। শ্রীরামপুরবাসী হিসেবে গর্বটা আরও অনেকখানি যেন বেড়ে গেল। যদি আগে থেকে জানতে পারতাম যে আপনি শ্রীরামপুরে আসছেন তাহলে definitely দেখা করতে যেতাম। কিন্তু ভীষণ bad luck যে আমরা কেউ কিছুই জানতাম না + সেই সময় প্রচণ্ড শরীরটা খারাপ ছিল আমার। আপনাকে একবার সামনে থেকে দেখে জীবনটাকে সার্থক করতে চাই। জানি না সেই সুযোগ আর কোনোদিনও আসবে কিনা। কারণ আপনার লেভেলটাই যে পুরো আলাদা।

স্টেশন থেকে নেমে এসে ডানদিকে যাবেন তারপর দেখবেন দুটো দিকে রাস্তা ভাগ হয়েছে, বাম দিকের রাস্তা ধরে সোজা এসে মানসী বাজারের উল্টো দিকে রয়েছে এই রেস্টুরেন্ট।
আমাদের বাঙলাদেশের নারায়নগঞ্জে আছে বিখ্যাত 'বোস কেবিন'!

This is Bhaskar Biswas from Lincoln, California, USA. Serampore is my hometown. I grew up there. I am a 1965 graduate of Serampore College. My father M.N. Biswas was associated with Serampore College for over 50 years, as a student, as a Professor, as an administrator and finally in the early 1970s he was the Principal of the college. Following my father's footsteps I am now Professor Biswas also. Also, my mother is buried next to William Carey in the Carey Cemetery right off GT Road. I have many many fond memories of Serampore in spite of the fact I left Serampore in 1967 for the USA.
