⁴ᴷ⁶⁰ R142 Movie Train on the J, D, and A Lines!

- Here, we see a set of R142s being used for the filming of a high-profile movie! For logistical reasons, a train of R142s was used.
R142s are "A" division equipment, which runs on the numbered lines and is physically narrower than the wider "B" division equipment that runs on the lettered lines. However, "A" division cars like the R142 are capable of running on "B" division trackage when appropriate arrangements are made. This is an exceptionally rare and unusual occurrence; R142s have not ventured to this part of the system in a very, very long time. Enjoy!

0:33 That shot of the R142 with the Williamsburg Bridge in the back feels like it just fits so well for some reason. Love it. Nice catch.
Thanks!!! Glad you enjoyed the video :)
@@DJHammersTrainsDescription typo: It’s the R142, not the R142A. Same mistake in the F line clip
@@DJHammersTrains What video You are going to upload.
crazy that all these subway lines really connects to one
The NYC Subway also connects to the national rail network through the South Brooklyn Railway.

This was a wild move ngl.
It's almost like the 2009 version of Pelham 123 all over again.
Fr tho lol 😆
With the 1 car R14262 on Culver 🤣
As a R142 fan and enjoyer, this is like paradise to me.
Wow that platform gap is really prominent.
R142 3 and 4 train take a visit to the J F and A lines, it’s good to see that!
Finally a NTT IRT on BMT as a movie train
There’s the Pelham 123 train yn
I remember when I was in marcey I saw the r32 train passing by
Now imagine if the R160 was at chambers street with the R142, then they both started at the same time in sync.
That would’ve been pretty awesome 😎
That's crazy 😮!!!. Very amazing indeed!
Right?! Glad you enjoyed!
I took the j train earlier today and I swear if this vid was taken today I'm gonna cry
Hands down one of the coolest moves I have seen. Glad I was a part of this legendary move
Imagine if the IRT took over the BMT Eastern Division.
I feel like the Best lines for the IRT to take would be the J, M, Z
Cause those have IRT curves
That's so awesome!
"This is a Coney-Island, Stillwell Av bound, 4 via the D line. The next stop is, 125th Street.
“Stand clear of the closing door please”
It’s great to see the IRT go on the IND and BMT. Great video
I did see this one running on the F Line at Stillwell!
It looks awesome❤❤! Keep up the good work!
2:12 this end is the (4) (5) (6) mezzanine now. The other end you gotta move for (J) (Z) 🤪
Rare move for movie making.💚👌
I like this
I was waiting for your upload. I saw everyone else's, except yours 😂
Amazing DJ
Thanks! ✌️
Ayyy 18th Avenue!
Cool!
I saw that train that very morning running up the middle track on the J line. I thought I was hallucinating.
I saw that at 4 Av - 9 St and 7 Av
Nice to be on my J M and Z lines 🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡
Typo in descripion: it says R142A. (Going inactive so dont expect a edit later)
Good catch! Fixed :)
I Wonder What Film Their Making
John Carpenter’s ‘Escape from New York’ Part II
@@whiskeykilo2h429oh
The movie their actually filmed is High and Low featuring Denzel Washington
@@whiskeykilo2h429the remake of the 80s classic with Kurt Russell
Whatever it is, Spike Lee is involved. He was at 7th or Church Avenue Stations Directing
Awesome catch
Thanks!! 🔥

Mind the gap, indeed. Great video. Thx.
Glad you liked it!
Ngl Irt Via IND/BMT Is crazy
needs more broadway line
First station = Marcy Ave.
imagine a remake of Pelham 123,
Pelham 456 ☠️
Sooner or later we gon get a Pelham 4, 5, 6
I think the movie they're filming is that new Spike Lee movie Denzel Washington is in. There was sightings of him at Borough Hall station at Downtown BK.
Amazing 6:31
The gap between the platform and A Division cars would've been perfectly negligible at one time when riders were more intelligent.
*the foam begins…*
How did the train get onto the lead track for the Transit Museum? If that's the case, the Nostalgia Train Crew must have been there to do that, right?
R142 On The B And Q Should Be Cool
R142 visit the IND/BMT lines?
R142 NYC Subway Tour 2024
what bridge is that in the thumbnail?
That is the Williamsburg Bridge
That platform gap is why A division equipment isnt ran on the B division.
Shout out to Train Operator O Pagan, my school car classmate!!!!!!
One of the best!!
Nah they got the 2 4 and 5 train on J Train Im dreaming dude lol
Just realized that train is skinny 😂 lots of gap space
Gosh makes me wonder how much this movie filmmakers pay the MTA to make this move 😮
They are making a movie
Wait a sec Fabian is this you?
@@keelyhase1333 yeah why
How did the R142 made it to the B division??
There are many connections in between the IRT and IND/BMT lines like the 207th st. Yard and Queensboro Plaza.
Next up: R160 Movie Train on the Long Island Rail Road
Are there any "dumb ways to die in NYC" that stand out?
WHAT A R142 ON NASSAU J LINE????????????
5:54 Hold Up what's this??????? Culver clipped out????
Sneak peak :)
It's very cool how the MTA will allow these moves with just money and a film crew lmao
How did they even get it on the J line?
It went on 6th Avenue via the M line essentially or via Nassau
Basically it got out of either concourse yard or 207 at yard going via the d line down to Manhattan via 6th Ave switching to the m line to Essex st
Jerome yard > concourse yard > Atlantic avenue > court st (R) > flying crossover > broad st
The R142 (4) which belongs to Jerome should
2:03 Wrong line sir
123
The joker
I wonder when an R46 will run via the flushing line to Woodside 61st street via the express tracks
Soon
Not possible it won’t fit due to the length of train and the width wide body
Bro got r142a want to see a station
Chaimbers street = worst station on mta.its so ugly and is wrecked
Pelham 123 4 ?
