Been watching flydeath videos all night due to UK heatwave and tons of pesky flies invading my room, 'tis a beautiful thing watching their suffering and demise.
The smell is horrible - but it does work. We have filled 3 or so bags over the last month - probably 50,000 flies. Coming in from all over - must be calling their buddies over. I think it's a sales tactic - it keeps attracting more and more, so you have to buy more and more. I've also used the refillable one - talk about disgusting smell when you have to empty it......
Domino Diamond hes referring you emptying the reusable one they make. I had to throw it away because I kept puking when emptying it lol. Disposable is the way to go
Things definitely work. More flies it traps, the more it stinks. Pretty sure it’s the dead flies that make it smell terrible. Not that bad until it’s starts getting full. Filled up several so far this summer. The latest one has huge maggots in it. They look too big to be fly larvae. When the water level gets too low, I just fill it up to the line again. Toss it when it’s completely filled up. Swish it around a little to drown the flies crawling on top. Edit: wow yours filled up fast! I can keep mine out for weeks!
If you are gonna use this trap hang it on an easily removable hook. Cause your gonna be holding your breath from the smell when you take it down. Also, do not tilt the bag or you will have maggot juice spilled on you.
@@bonjovirocks24 It will attract flies from miles away. It will catch them though. What I did was I bought fly killer pellets from Amazon and did the job. You spread the pellets on the floor or put them on a tray near where your fly problem is and the flies eat the pellets and drop dead in a few seconds. You will have a fly grave on the floor but is much better than the maggot juice these bags create.
I recently set one up in the backyard. Checked on it a week later because it rained, but it was fine. Got more flies, and now I too have a cockroach in the bag.
oh my gosh when I saw the Flys bunched up and maggots at the bottom I almost thew up on my cat😧😧😧I can't believe there's a bunch of Flys in there ewwwww😣😣😣.Nice Video Tho dude!!!
It's cool that it works. When me and my sisters were little, my dad put one out by our big garbage bins, and the next day, it was pretty crazy how much flies we had.
This is the best fly trap ever. Easy, cheap and works just great. Have one by the garbage cans and one by the smoker/BBQ area. They really don't smell that bad...some, but who cares, IT WORKS!!
We used one of these and it worked great. It does smell alright, best to put it downwind. For easy disposal, merely bring a plastic shopping bag up from underneath it while it is still hanging. That way you also capture the insects that are near the top but did not get inside. Then quickly tie the bag off and take it off the hanger. Just be careful that you don't puncture the bag when you put it in the trash can.
I live on a farm and at the beginning and end of summer we always have a killer fly problem, got one for my room and my bathroom, they each have about 30 flies each in then within the first hour or so. Really good product. Doesn’t smell as bad as people want you to think it does
I've tried them around barn and it seems like they make more flies from the decomposing flies. I can't just throw in trash can so I cut open and dumped in manure pile it was disgusting
Sorry but I did one of these bag trap things last month, I was so grossed out, by the smell, and the flies dying in hell like that. I found an awesome hack, that works and it doesn't create hell for you and the flies. Fill a ziplock with water, add a few pennies, and hang over fly places, garbage, doorways, etc. It works so great I've left my doors wide open all summer, and Ive not used flyswatter once!
Any fly worth his salt can smell at least a mile and that's a fact. The longer its left to attract fly's the smellier it gets. You want this bag away from your house and your children's play area they will love for it.
Yeah I think when you start seeing maggots in there.... it's time to throw that away and start a new one lol... I think that means they are surviving in there and literally mating on the corpses of their dead friends
disposing it is a tricky question i would spray raid inside but it won't kill any maggot. i would contact ur local city for some disposal info advice make it easier for our trash guys
I put mine in a plastic shopping bag w. No holes and tied it shut airtight bc. The maggots were getting out and I want to wait a few days to see how many are escaping. If like all the maggots are escaping and hiding down in the soil than😬⚖️ what's the point really? Just starting another generation of flies. Also it seems to catch mainly these big greenish blow flies and not as much of the little gray housflies that are the ones that bother me.
put one of these in trees by home 35 yrds away and even two three yrs later still catching them and just ball maggots n death it just keeps killin all time
John Robinson tried to put one under my work bench next to my grill to keep the flies off my food. I lasted about 5 minutes and had to move it across my property. It works but Jesus it smells.
Once I notice flies bothering my dog I buy a few of these , I pick up my dogs poop at least once a day sometimes more often , and my neighbors don’t ever pick up their dogs poop , so I can imagine where the abundance of flies come from , I got 2 bags filled up a couple months ago and haven’t seen any bothering my dog, will probably put up another bag very soon as the summer continues
Before you close the lid down I like to get a can of Raid and spray the top to kill any surrounding flies, the I cut off the zip tie which is what I used to hang it then I close the top and put duck tape and then throw it in a bag and off to the garbage the same day the garbage truck passes by my house
I have one in my backyard. Do the maggots just grow in the bag? Today I noticed I have a lot of little crawlers! But non have crawled outside of the bag!
What a vivid description lol... personally I'm just going to put mine in a ziplock and then a few layers of grocery bag and then a trash bag and toss it and shell out for another one, fresh and new.
so you are attracting the flies the whole point is to get rid of the flies.? i can't imagine the smell i wouldn't want it around my apt i want to get rid of the flies in my trash not get more ! so i don't think i want this thats gross!
The smell isn't that bad..I guess our noses have different opinions. I would say the product is effective..you should get a couple more ( or better yet, try making your own). I suggest you use a different hook...or just detach and dispose of the entire chain. You can put that trap inside of a smaller bag and tie it shut..then toss it in the trash can.. I don't know it that top can be pushed back in to seal it shut... I have a trap...but not nearly as many flies as you do. Red eyes...yuck!

Right, that's what I as thinking. If you bury it, those maggots may all get out and turn to new flies.

Do these fly traps reduce the fly population in the neighborhood?

Make a hook out of a coat hanger, when it is full drop it into a zip lock and throw it away ....SEALED!
We got one of these, not only did we have maggots, there was a big cockroach in the flytrap, this is a bag of pure nastiness.

Greatest fly trap video of all time! This may be the funniest thing ever! "Red eyed, red headed...Nasty!

Great video. I'd like to see another one of these fly trap videos filmed over several days. 👍
I love the awkward pause and the wrist turn in the beginning

Have thousands of flys in mine. The stuff smells like death to attract the flys. Put them out of nose proximity.
Duct tape the “lid” closed on the bag after taking down. Avoids the whole “I just spilled fly/maggot juice” issue.
damn effective trap. gotta say.. Thanks for sharing.

Its the dead flies that smell. Yeast/attractor thing not bad
I swore it was yeast and it is!
It is the yeast bc when i added the water it smelled like ass
It smells as soon as you add water before the flies even get in there.
it's not just yeast.. newly opened it stinks
I feel like I have maggots alllll over meeeeeeee
Did it reduce the problem with flies around your property, thats the whole purpose right?

This bag attracts even more flies then what you already had
Exactly!
I'm wondering if the maggots are transforming into flies in the bag and that's one reason the bag is filling faster... Thoughts? Thanks.

It must be torture for those poor chickens.
I think placing. A new trap next to the old one is the way to go to remove the old one

wow. great video
I also got one at my backyard. can anyone tell me how i clean up this stuff???
Step 1: throw it away
There is so much in there that they can literally walk out..
not a good place by the kids play area. I had one near my sitting area and had problems with the flies biting me.

These things work great, but when maggots start to form, it's time to throw it out. This guy waited far too long to dispose of it
El disgusto, we have one in the back yard at the end of 3 days not as full as yours. A good fly catcher. Will you use it again?
jogmas12 takes at least one month
There’s 1 up the street from my job full of flies. It has to be over 20,000 flies in there...
Smells like warm death 😂😂🤣🤣
I’ve got maggots in those, too. Really gross 🤢
I just put one up last weekend and its disgusting. The flies laid eggs and the maggots are eating the flies.and it smells.but maybe working??
Jennifer Raby it smells, but it sticks!
Why can’t they come back out the way they got in? Is it blocked off or something?
yo
It stinks to holy hell. It works, but it's not for your yard/BBQ area. There's a reason it attracts flies, that horrible smell.

Poor chickens. They hate the smell too.
why are maggots in there for??i had 2 of them and they stunk
Jonathan Pebley maggots are fly larvae

So gross! Can you imagine if you stepped on it and hearing the crunching? 🤮
You’re supposed to wait until it dries up
Lol

We love these things..worth every penny…cheap entertainment
These things make my stomach turn
hang in the sun and you'll catch even more---add water regularly
I'm curious about the smell though :P
Where do you get the fly trap from

Not so bad before the flies.... After that, it smells like a liquefied cadaver
A rotting corpse that has been in an alley for two weeks during the summer.
horseflies?
Thinking about just putting the chemical in a water jug with water instead of hanging the bag🤔🤔
That's why i use string, cut it off close the top (push it in), dump it.
