  • Arab-Israeli news anchor Lucy Aharish and Avi Issacharoff, journalist and co-creator of Netflix’s Fauda, go behind the headlines for an in-depth examination of the state of Israel post-October 7. Aharish, one of the most prominent television broadcasters in Israel - and the very first Arab Muslim news presenter on mainstream Hebrew-language Israeli media, hosts a daily news show on Reshet channel 13. Avi Issacharoff is an award-winning journalist and the creator of Israel’s hit TV series, Fauda, who served in the undercover unit on which the series is based. Together, they will provide on-the-ground and behind-the-scenes insights into the situation in Israel, Gaza and the West Bank. Among the topics discussed are the failure of leadership in Israel, both military and political; the failure to find a partnership for peace amidst the Palestinian leadership; who and where are the emerging leaders in the Palestinian Authority; what the mainstream media does not cover about the complexity of the conflict; and how this will end. Don’t miss the chance to hear insiders’ perspectives from two journalists with extensive experience of the area.

    I hate to say this but I felt such a sense of sadness after watching this. I am a huge Fauda fan. I have spent time in Jaffa and see the co existence is real time within Israel. Then I see my hometown of NYC where young people are protesting something they completely have no understanding of. The indoctrination is so intense and the mental illness so pervasive they feel like a lost generation. The ones indoctrinating them are virulent anti semites with degrees. They will never watch this or listen to this wonderful conversation. They have no idea that they are making the plight of the Palestinians so much worse.

      The "anti-semite" trope is no longer effective. The protestors see through it.

    Even though they seemingly connected themselves to Plastilina, which is of course a false manipulation, on the coins from that period it is explicitly written "Land of Israel" in quotation marks. Additionally, in every archaeological site it is clear that it concerns Jews and not Arabs. Another, no less important thing, there are various types of Arabs in Israel-Bedouins, Druze, Muslims, Christians, and they have citizenship. Perhaps a small part of them have been in Israel for over 100 years, all the rest are refugees from neighboring countries, there are many proofs for this and it was also known from the beginning in their records. This is the reason why they did not keep any organized and official records of the population numbers; there aren't even 2 million refugees, but much less. We are talking here about an invention.

      And October would have never happened and Hamas would have never existed without the occupation and apertheid in all Palestinian occupied territories. Hamas was created in 1987 as a consequence of the occupation, apertheid and terrorist settlers.

      They don't want to genocide anybody. You only have to listen fascist Zionist Government in Israel and Ministers like Smotrich, Gantz, Ben Gavir, etc. call to kill all the Palestinians. And not, 75 years of war will finish when Israel disappears from WB and East Jerusalem with 500 thousands fascist terrorists, because yes, settlers are terrorists disappears. And occupation and apertheid fascist Zionist regime disappears there.

    • @guillemrieraquer7925
      @guillemrieraquer7925 Před měsícem

      And all these terrorists burningn houses, lands, robbing lands, attacking children going to school, their houses, etc. and always helped by IDF and all Israel Governments since 1967. Yes, this is the reality in WB, a brutal occupation and apertheid regime, but of course for you the brutal occupation and apertheid in all Palestinian occupied territories doesn't deserve any condemn. This is the biggest problem in Israel how you justify all the brutalities Israel commits in all Palestinian occupied territories because you are not able to see it or condemn it. Hamas didn't create this conflict, the conflict was created in 1948 and continued in 1967 by the occupation and apertheid in all Palestinian occupied territories, and this was the cause of the creation of Hamas in 1987.

      5 generations ago distant grandparents were born in what is now Israel-think back 80 years ago to your distant grandparents and where they lived-do you have the “right” to murder people to return to land your distant grandparents never owned but were renters? Turkey, Jordan and Egypt and others were the land owners.

    • @esplin1
      @esplin1 Před měsícem +3

      Well, then talk to Egypt, because in fact, a good part of the Gazans had their origins in those lands, which is why the surname Al-Masry is so common. In fact, in general, those today called Palestinian refugees do not have ancestors who were born in the territories of Israel and Palestine, but were recent migrants, who, as UNRWA establishes, between June 1946 and May 1948 had as their place of habitual residence the British Mandate of Palestine. On the other hand, what right do Jews have to return to their homes from which they were expelled or forced to emigrate throughout the Arab world including Gaza and the West Bank?

      Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon are their homes. All of these countries don’t want them.
      Thousands of so called Palestinians live in refugee camps in Lebanon where they are treated like animals!!!
      Arab Muslims who live Israel are doctors, lawyers, teachers, police officers, judges on the Supreme Court, and high officials in Government!!!
      Any Jew who would step a foot into Gaza would be dead in a minute, just as anyone belonging to the LGBTQ community would be thrown off the highest roof!
      You have no idea what free Palestine means!!!!!
