I have often thought back on various trends of the '00s and thought to myself: "Who told us that was a good idea?" Watching this video, I realized: the gay boy at the Mac counter in Macy's. That's who told us it was a good idea.
Smokey racoon eyes, super high arched brows, magenta lipstick, and either complete pale foundation or too much bronzer. I remeber this look was univerasal for preppy girls and scene girls alike lmao.

I had my makeup done by this guy at MAC and he used SO MUCH blue eyeshadow on me. He was telling me how gorgeous I looked and I ended up buying like $120 in blue eyeshadow. I came back to my senses the next morning and never touched any of that eyeshadow lol.

That we can shoplift at MAC.
Not at MAC, ulta. MAC only has testers on the floor, you give the product tester to an employee and they find it in one of the many many drawers.
I worked at Home Depot and we weren’t allowed to chase people either 🤷🏻♀️ They say it’s a matter of employee safety

When I was a teenager, my mom would take my brother and I to Mayfair once a month because they had more shops than the mall we usually went to. There was one time I saw him working the Mac counter, I didn't think much about it then but now it makes those trips more special.

One of the artists I work with had a lady book him for her makeup. She agreed to the price and paid the deposit.
THEN.
Refused to pay the rest because "her husband thought it was too expensive" (like Lady? He's using expensive products PER YOUR REQUEST... ugggggh)
So he told her he was going to "use a setting spray" and used the now discontinued Makeup Melter spray from Urban, like REEEEEEEEEAAAALLY went for it and coated her face in remover then he GOT THE HELL OUTTA there.

ahhh this brings back memories - mac boy from 2008 - 2018. Started at 18 and literally grew up on counter. Seeing the candid (non-facetuned becuase we are dinosaurs) pictures of you on counter just gives me all the nostalgia! Saturday themedays still cant be touched ;)

I worked at Mac in Macy’s and there was constant stealing going on but the security could literally do nothing about it. I would watch whole perfume DISPLAYS getting stolen and report it only to find out they never can catch the guy in the act and he’s back on Tuesday
