Band is Queen, singer is Freddie Mercury. This is one of many great Queen Anthems. John Deacon (bass) wrote this great song. Brian May built that guitar with his dad, when he was a teen, with junk they had laying around the house. Brian ended up buying a couple of parts at the hardware store so the cost of building the guitar was around $9.00. There is not another guitar exactly like that one. It has acoustic pockets and a switch system that was designed to feed back which gives Brian the ability to make very cool sounds with it. John Deacon (Bass) built a small amplifier from stuff he found in a dumpster that enables Brian to make his guitar sound like string instruments or horns as well as modifying other sounds. There is no other amp like the Deacy Amp. People have been trying to duplicate it for nearly 50 years. Someone now has made one that comes close. Thank you for your reaction.

This song is even BETTER LIVE. (Most Queen songs are… They’re the ONLY band who are renowned for being even better live than in-studio.)
One of the BEST performances is:
    MONTREAL in 1981.

You are so spot on with your analysis. This song was written by the Bass player John Deacon and a lot of his lyrics is about supporting the guy who is wronged by exploitation, greed or whatever, and also writes a lot about getting rid of toxic people. I have no idea if this is deliberate or just came to be but as lifelong Queen fan I find a pattern in his particular lyrics. Great reaction to a great tune. As others have said on this thread, please go down the Queen Rabbit hole.

Glad you're enjoying Queen. I'm sure you have heard of We will rock you and we are the champions. You should watch the live version of Another One Bites the Dust live at Wembley and Under Pressure live at Wembley the 5:56 minute version. His interaction with the audience is out of this world. Thanks for your great reaction. I'm really enjoying them.

Those sounds are made by Queen's guitarist, Dr. Brian May when he connects his homemade eclectic guitar, the Red Special" through a treble blaster to the Deacy Amp.
The Deacy Amp (pronounced "Deeky) is an electric guitar amplifier created in 1972 by Queen's bassist John Deacon, who has a First Class Honors Degree in Electronics. The amplifier circuit board from a Supersonic PR80 portable radio found in a builder's skip was fitted into a speaker cabinet and powered by a 9-volt battery. The amplifier had no volume or tone controls and for most of its history it was never broken and thus never repaired

This band didn't try and over define the meaning of their songs even among themselves ... So the fact it got you thinking and relating is what they hoped for. Big and small gems in their song catalog w/different styles but one distinct sound.

Reminder. .. Queen 👉 Freddie, Brian, Roger, John! 🥰 This song was written by bassist John Deacon. Michael Jackson loved this song & encouraged Queen to release it as a single! MJ was a fan of Queen but a bigger fan of Freddie!! Considered friends .. please check out THERE MUST BE MORE TO LIFE THAN THIS.

Freddy's sexuality wasnt really mentioned prior to this track although it was speculated. When this video came no one was left in any doubt, I cant remember any mass burning of Queen albums, the fans didnt care, mayne we can learn a lesson from our past.

Girl, you black like me. You know this song! And I act similar to you with the tomboyish swag, and im straight. It goes to show sexuality and gender is a spectrum, and a "woman" is a social construct that is given to someone with a certain genitalia.
