Almost every patient with lipedema has some involvement in their upper and lower legs. Since these are often the highest priority for treatment patients want to know how much time do I have to wait between each surgery? I prefer to wait 3 months between upper and lower leg surgery to allow for healing and decreased swelling to occur.
Damaging the drainage system of both the upper and lower legs results in longer and prolonged swelling. This increases discomfort, vein problems, and can lead to fibrosis.
If we're working on different areas of the body, we can often shorten this time to 4-6 weeks between surgical stages. I provide custom treatment plans for each patient because your stage of lipedema and your lifestyle are unique to you!

The insurance Regence can cover this surgery, and what's kind cannula you usei to do this surgery ? Due to the traditional cannula takes years to healing and the cannula with laser is much better

Does lymphodema typically resolve after the surgery if it was caused by lipedema in the first place?

It can if it's in the early stages. If it's more severe the damage to the skin can be permanent. For this reason it's better to do surgery earlier before permanent damage occurs

Would it be better to do the thighs first, then three months later, the lower legs?
