I have never seen Kyle Walker get done like I saw today. Sterling was outstanding.
He gets done quite often, just that his pace helps him recover most of the time
Walker is old

Pochettino has an understanding of Pep's principles, so his attempts to thwart him are way more effective. Pochettino always seeks a shootout with Pep and it mostly works... It's pretty impressive to watch.
Poch is building a team that will be amongst the most feared
Pep used pochs tactics from when he managed spurs to cl final
@@javandaka6849only when playing against bigger teams. This Chelsea team is not good at breaking down stubborn teams
@@javandaka6849Tuchel said the Same. Lmfao ...Chelsea fans celebrating a draw at home . 😂😂😂😂

Right now they just need to finish their chances
Whenever Guardiola gets found out, he adapts. He will plot his next move during the international break.
Poch has his number for some reason. Even at spurs they would often come on top or tie the game
i hope they maintian hakf of this form this level guarantees top 6 75% of this and ur in top 4 and this form for 6 years u will become 5 pl champion@@djcrazy941026
Yeah great point, he'll think of some absurd tactic that will work without stones or something
Pep always adapts, like a Godzilla.
@@nont18411last thing we want is Pep to adapt after winning the fucking treble 😂
toward the end of the game POch realized Palmer had become weak on the wing so he brought in MUdryk to play 11 and shifted Sterling to 7 so that both wings would have fast guys. Then palmer shifted to the center. Poch also removed Enzo and Caicedo to strengthen the attack threat by bringing in Broja. All these changes brought Chelsea goals immediately
I wonder how they will set-up when Nkunku gets back, putting him as Striker is not where you're gonna get the best out of him but feels like Chelsea are playing their best without him, just lacking some goals
@@sihlematloha2787Nkunku will bring the quality that jackson doesn’t have upfront
@@sihlematloha2787 i think he can play a key role in games against defensive blocks, tbh i think the midfield is set now and palmer is a must start, so the only way i see him get in the team is as a f9 which i do think he is good at with his ability in tight spaces, its obvious jackson is doing alot for the team but he visibly lacks experience imo
@@shifteyyy
Before the start of the season it looked like Nkunku was going to be doing a mix of what Cole and Sterling are doing but now it definitely looks like Jackson is getting dropped
Who is cole
Gallagher can mark 2 or 3 players at once successfully 💪
That's the side of his game that is outstanding.... "energetic".
And the fans are going crazy calling him the best Midfielder at Chelsea.... because they are too naive.
And also beat Tyson Fury for the Heavyweight belt - the chap has privilege
That Connor Gallagher boy must be Pochettino’s pet terrier. Ran all day and press like a animal on hunting. He would kill players if instructed to. What a player.
Hàs to be pep's Worst defensive game in years since Liverpool's 2018/2019
what do u mean since liverpool’s 2018/19?
@@anonymous_222i think he meant since the 3-4 match against Liverpool in the PL
@@RaphaelJohnI’m pretty sure that match was in January 2018, in the 2017/18 season. Liverpool failed to beat Man City home or away in the 2018/19 season.
Actually it was Chelsea that nullified the mid-feild, which inevitably lead to the defensive pressure that city felt, and aren't very used to it. Its all inter-tangled to be honest can't look at it from solely one angle.
2020/21, city lost 5-2 at home to Leicester. In 2022, we conceded 3 vs Real Madrid in 10 minutes and bottled the ucl
Poch has definitely outsmarted Pep to a large extent. CHE looked more dangerous and have been transitioning through the middle with ease.
Not even close, pep is a very dynamic coach....at Etihad you'll witness an evolved pep... that's why he keeps winning titles...hope you'll not bring in the issue of oil money coz there're clubs with money but doing badly
@@ChimwaniJohnwill you shut up 😅
@@ChimwaniJohnpep can’t win without oil money. He’s a great coach but it seems he’s not on Poch’s level
@@TheIrishFoleylet's see the cv of Poch and Unai let's leave Pep coz he's head above Poch. Don't expose yourself money doesn't play football.
It looks like Chelsea also had the upper hand because of executing the 343 line-up (strong and flexible midfield) the right way.
people are saying lot of smack about Enzo and Caicedo.. the amount of pressure they absorved and their off the ball game was just brilliant.. this allowed palmer, sterling and gallagher to do their thing..
What i have understood, they all are DMs but they can transition defence to attack quickly too, that's why they r so effective. And pl demands that type of players
@@brownmunda7200 I think Enzo is still more of an 8 compared to Caicedo but yeah those 2 are monsters in & out of possession. It's wild that Enzo has been the teams best player since joining
No
football opinions have shifted in recent years, these days players have only played well when they get g/a. enzo and caicedo have not had particular standout performances but if they can keep up their level and especially with gallagher theyre basically the beating heart of the chelsea team, theyre absolutely vital and i hope people will clock this soon
Enzo worst game by far
Plus Poch kept changing his tactics to counter every of Pep's moves. It was more like a game of chess. Poch really worked on his team.
It’s blessing that they don’t have European football gives Poch more time to drill this young team. I look forward to seeing if they can sustain this kind of pressing in long run. This will give them an edge to finish for top5 finish this year.
Rodri was almost alone and non existent in that midfield. The moment i saw a 4141 formation, i knew sthng was wrong. However ,i got to give credit to the chelsea midfield. Those guys really hustled us hard.
This game was pure Chaos...If I were Pep I'd bring in Nunes,he'd bring a bit of calmness to the team and game...Plus he does a lot of running
@@tomkambo3533 Didn't really understand why he didn't try play a more natural midfielder in the double pivot because Akanji was just being forced to go all over the place
@@sihlematloha2787 that double pivot is for Stonsey. But since he was not in,Nunes would have been amazing in it.Bcause u can't put Rodri alone in that athletic Chelsea Mid.Nunes would match them and do a lot of the work for Rodri to be calm on the ball bcause he seemed to make a lot of rushed decisions.
Disagree Rodri was key and in many parts of the game the best midfielder by far of the game, non existent is impossible when he had the most touches of the game. Watch the stst before you talk mate
Most of that credit goes to Poch for switching how to press with Gallagher out wide..and to Gallagher for being fluid in attack and defence
this kind of game made it obvious why city put in a bid for declan rice. rodri was overwhelmed by chelseas athletic midfield without stones as his pivot and lead to chelsea getting into tough positions dangerous positions. when control is difficult these things get exposed
The Lack of Stone once again is more evident than ever.
I stayed all night waiting for the video, thanks bro ❤️🙏 watching you from Ghana . 🇬🇭
Senior man I dey greet oo. how far😂😂
Chelsea young players are so compact with eachother especially Caicedo , Enzo and Gallagher... their chemistry just so on point 😮
without Enzo, Chelsea will struggle to build at the back and will be forced to use Gallagher as the main man for ball progression. Without Gallagher pressing in the no 10 spot there's no one in Chelsea bench have the stamina to do that
His stamina and energy is a plus to the team.
But many confuse this quality as being the best Midfielder.
That's why Chelsea struggled so much before Palmer came into the team against Brighton.
Enzo missed Brentford...the creativity was less because Gallagher is poor on that side.
If Enzo does get injured I think they could just have Caicedo drop deep and build from the back and have him be paired with Lavia
Hang on, I think we're forgetting why we got Romeo Lavia. Enzo is literally the first engine that moves our mid-feild. But I believe Lavia is the man that can help fill that role...esp if we ever lose Enzo or decide to bench him.
@@wisdomnzube4121Brother, from when did you start watching Gallagher's game?! Every Box To Box Midfielders playing in the heart of the team needs more endurance to do both sides of the game. For Example, Lampard was one of them. Please do watch Gallagher's game during academy. Playing stylistically, he was considered similar as Lampard than Mount. Yes. You are right he needs to shoot more when in space.
@@NawapNepali he doesn't have to be good at everything to be a good player. I think he already doing what is expected. Just the shooting which isn't his role in this team

sincerely, if Chelsea were able to convert their Chances, they would have defeated City by 6 goals to 4....Gusto and Palmer missed a great chance to score in that match....City had more possesion but Chelsea created more scoring chances, but their problem is how to convert those chances.....if they can solve that problem....Chelsea will give a lot of team a big problem.......They are playing better than their results and even their current position on the log....Please, check the statistics before you criticize me.

Chelsea did a similar job vs Arsenal
One thing i can tell u Pep will take note of this
As usual he's always experiment in initial phase and after jan the real game starts that's when other teams feel pressure and City mean real business
Maybe its now not the case my guy teams are actually getting good. I give it 2 yrs and you will see what I mean. I saw that this season everyone is trying to have a go man
I think Poch deserves a 7.5 this time. It takes not only great tactics, but a lot of preparation to take on this Man City side and play against them as equals. Kudos to Poch for his hard work, finally we see some of the results. (ps. neutral to this game, I don’t support either side).
Not the best city can be (missing kdb , stones) we will see them again at the Etihad 😊
@@yuvalramo4770while Chelsea missing nkunku and chilwell
@yuval. And Chelsea played with their best team? Fofana, Nkunku, and Lavia are all fit??
At etihad its a different affair
Not disputing that. We'll see. But it takes a lot of effort and bravery to take on City like that. Kudos to Chelsea and of course... Man City remain the best team in Europe, the team to beat for a reason, even with key absences (Stones in particular)@@eryckohwarrior4020
Now we await Guardiola vs Klopp on the 25th 😂
You should do a video on a Leverkusen match. What a team to watch.
It was just fenomanal to watch! I was wondering how Pep's system works, because everybody in Peps team is also changing positions, its crazy. They execute this so well. But it works even better with Silva on the flank with Grealish, it becomes defensive so much stronger because they defend relentless as well. And they are stronger on the ball then foden en Goku, or whats his name..But Chelsea was very good on the ball and could play themselves out of tricky situations, and that is where tactics always falls short or comes to life; I think the tactics of Pep are genious, but Chelsea played very well and had a decent tactic.
Pep is intelligent when it comes to pressing and possession but Poch was on a different level
Sterling and Palmer, from the wings and the centre were phenomenal.
This is very clear. Thank you for the explanation.
Game of the year great match
I can’t wait to see how Pep adapts after this. This was a wake up call.
This match really showed that they can't play that box midfield without Stones.
If he's still not fit after the break then Pep should definitely look try put Nunes in the double pivot
@@sihlematloha2787Nunes has been tried at pivot at ucl. It was more of a miss than a hit. He is a brilliant ball progressor
@@sihlematloha2787fax rodri was too isolated
I rewatch your videos sometimes because of your background music. So soothing
Thanks to the individual abilities from sterling and palmer to chaos city's defence
The big issue for Chelsea for me, was the lack of pressure when sitting back.
They just let City have the ball in their half. There's a point where they need to engage pressing and they didn't, that was fatal.
Nice analysis. I waited for your analysis on the Tottenham Chelsea match. Would you do it?
Your background sound and how deeply and shortly you make these analysis videos>>>
great video. What app do you use to record the 1:35 part of the video,my man?
Beautiful game ❤
What chelsea also did well was in playing a lot of quick 1-2s on the wing to break city's press.
Great video, thanks.
Probably the most exciting game this season.
Good match from both sides
But this Manchester City back 3 won us treble, i think pep should go for back 3 when stones is available
This analysis is top notch
I could not predict Chelsea playing through city. Nonetheless 10/10 entertainment.
First to watch and first to comment today. What a game. Te best of the season
Father you're back
Chelsea in the first half pressed with a 442. But the front 2 men remained deep to cover the box midfield which was now a man to man marking zone. City broke this by attracting one of the chelsea pressers to press the cb leaving the midfielder available for a pass. This became a 4v3 but chelsea handled it well
Ngl was such a marvelous game to watch
Thanks man
Have you thought of replay some of your vids into fm24.
Really want to see
The only thing missing in this video was the best line at the end of video "keep it simple"
You know a team is good when a draw against them on home turf is considered a win.
Hahaha...true. anyone reading these comments would think Chelsea won the game
Insane game one of the greatest of all time
Both teams playing all in to win, fair result the draw
The rates of managers is no sense sorry, because man city is the best team itw the standards are way more demanding and every game the same
Pep is the goat for a reason and according to your analysis even in the derbi game getting a poor mark
hi, what type of tactical board do you use?
DO NOT stretch your backline when you are building up, especially against a high press 😂
Never have seen Kyle Walker so haggled and not-composed, even when he played against Mbappe
Sterling gave him a game to never forget
As you can see all the city games pep doesn't know which tactics to play he is experiment with that wide back three
Pochettino 👏🏼
This season shows that teams are adapting to Pep and Man City, its not going to be easy for Man City this season! Well played to Chelsea!
Every season same story. City suffers for some time but still wins the league
They are top of the table
Pep will drop Haaland at some point and revert to his 4-3-3 false 9.
The problem with city is the options they no longer have on the bench. Grealish was the only attacker pep could sub in, when in those days we had Jesus, sterling, plamer, mahrez and the likes
Soon it will no longer be the case, teams are actually getting good and I give it 2 years there will be massive competition in the premier league
How much of this is planned and how much is natural ability of players in the moment.
The formation that city played was good in build up and creativity but the problem of the shape was in defense but at the end pep will always make it work lol .
Was a bit worried about you mate been a while you posted I hope you are doing okay
Poch used enzo the same way he used to use dembele
Can anyone explain hw on earth palmer was named MoM and not sterling? 🤔🙌🏽
I kidna say it as well. But Hhmm happy for Palmer and they mate so all good
want 2nd part of this video
Tactically both mangers knew if they win the mid-feild they would have the upper hand. Safe to say neither of them did. The scoreline says it all. Amazing match to watch and gotta love showing out for my team!! Cmon CHELSEAAA💙
pechettino y enzo fernanadez sos crack ...aguante argentina
Bernardo should have formed the double pivot
He plays like kdb in that game.. Very similar..
Pep will come up with new tactics during the international break. Wait and see
A Beautiful mess indeed
Everyone is memeing nico Jackson but he had one clear chance to score and he took it.
Was John Stone a miss for City?
❤
If you want to stiffle Pep, make him play in YOUR tempo 😂
A host of managers have tried that and got embarrassed by full time
We are missing John Stones
I totally agree
If city won , no one would be talking about we are missing stones. 😅
@@greatestanch yes you are correct, only after negative results we look into things
Ucl teams better take notes, especially tucheliban
And isis-letico madrid too😂
Lol all the goals they didn't score at the start of the season
Also can someone tell me why Ruben Dias was sliding during Jackson's goal?😂😂
Also Gallagher is actually a work horse oo
When you force city to play chaos the dont performe well
Liverpool were doing it to them.
This is because city isnt playing a low block
I don't understand why pep want a wide 3 center backs that literally defeats the purpose of 3 defenders, I you want wide chose 4 defenders
Dias did Maguire Defending
So Gallagher was the key for Poch.. for offense and defense
Conor the beast
Pochettino knows how to deal with pep
I hope etH is noting these
Palmer of course gave our every tactic to poch. Would be a different score without him
Can u do liverpool vs Brentford plz
Great game, but defensively, both of the teams were awful.
Perhaps...but 2 goals from city could be avoided ... The soft pen, and the deflected goal.
You only focused on what Mancity didn't do right. Is it because Chelsea were the underdogs?
???
Absolutely they are a small team now with man united.
He covered most of what they did and Chelsea did to. Only things not really covered were the changes when palmer moved to LCM and mudryk played LW Rodri getting dragged wide more often due to lack of defensive support from the forwards and Gallagher receiving centrally resulting in our 3rd goal. And then the dynamic of Sterling gusto RHS stretching the back line (Gvardiol hesitating wether to follow gusto wider or stay central) with the Jackson of the ball run to create space for Broja to exploit and he receives in the box manipulates the ball well and wins the pen.
Tactical changes by both sides throughout the second half were a big factor why the game remained so open throughout the full 90.
Man City tended to depart slightly from their main plan - to have each member of the pivot players in the 442 structure to drop and gain ground depending on the position of the ball, and certain key players such as Enzo, Silva and James, by becoming far more man-oriented, and trying to lure Chelsea to build into areas between the lines through the wide zones, where they could be caught on the ball.
Chelsea adapted pretty early, though, making the surprise tactical substitution of Enzo for Mudryk, and moving Gallagher from the RW/RM spot to a double pivot alongside Caicedo. Sterling then played RW, Mudryk LW, while Palmer was central again, operating as a link between Jackson and Midfield. They then began to launch longer and look to take on the full backs directly 1v1, while when out of possession, they were very narrow, with Palmer tight to Rodri, and looking to apply pressure on the ball when it was moved wide, rather than more centrally.
The game became very chaotic at this stage, especially as Chelsea's appetite for taking risks in possession was great, and I think this more than anything will concern Guardiola. He was able to introduce Grealish and exert more control on the match in possession, but when the ball was lost, he wasn't able to manage the game, and both sides were still trading multiple chances up to the last minute.
Sterling killed it
Gallagher the engine room
Galla-Dog!!!
Galla-Beast!!
🦍 Gor-llagher
Right treatment for Manchester City.....
Both sterling and palmer should be tested for drugs. I dont believe players should have pure strength for 90 minutes
Mancity played poorly , but the fact that they got a draw shows its poor peps tactics but the qualty is the reason we draw
This match was more of Man City players being sloppy and Off than Chelsea being brilliant. Just look at Diaz and Gvardiol for that Chelsea 2nd goal.
Kudos to Chelsea though.
I also feel if Pep had played 4-3-3 false 9, City would have had more control of the game.
Wow Anthony Taylor
Most times, Mancity were sloppy in their midfield
Chelsea were good. Man city were poor. Particularly Ruben Dias. That was his worst city performance since he joined the club. We were lucky to draw this game
I don't know why Ruben dias look so nervous on that one,,the game look normal until dias start to commit silly mistakes☹️☹️
