  • Cardiac MRI Planning - Full Guide (Part 1)
    Hello MRI Community,
    In this new video I want to share with you a number of information regarding the planning of cardiac CINE imaging. We will start from scratch, providing instructions for the most simple cine sequences to plan, as well as for the most challenging ones. The video will be splitted in two parts. In this first part we will focus on the evaluation of the LEFT side of the heart.

    Is there a way to do MRI cardiac without contrast? Maybe 4D MRI flow?

    • @everything-mri
      @everything-mri  Před rokem

      It really depends on the clinical indications. Sometimes exploring just the functionality of the heart may be sufficient to get a diagnosis. Cine imaging, in this sense, may be enough. However, if the viability needs to evaluate, then I think it needs to be assessed case by case.

    Please could you help me with a question? Is possible to do a cardiac mri wihout contrast? I am doing it to see if i have a scar or damage or miocarditis from the cv19 vax.

    • @everything-mri
      @everything-mri  Před 7 měsíci

      Hello, from a technical perspective the scan be performed also without contrast. However, if contrast is needed or not is strictly related to the clinical history of the patient. Unfortunately, we cannot provide here information regarding when contrast is required since this ideally should come from a cardiologist or someone with similar medical background. I hope you will understand

    Can they do cardiac mri without contrast

    • @everything-mri
      @everything-mri  Před rokem +1

      It depends on what type of information you aim to collect. A cardiologist may definitely help you with such a matter. However, generally there are situations in which cardiac MRI can be performed without contrast

    • @everything-mri
      @everything-mri  Před 7 měsíci

      Hello. Cardiac planning is quite similar accross the different vendors. Obviously, being this one a Siemens scanner there may be some functionalities that differ from those available in GE, Philips, and so on. However, I believe this can be considered a sort of initial guide for cardiac planning regardless the manufacturer you are using at the moment 👌🏻

Some universities also have a cardiac MRI module as part of they post graduate teachings in MRI. It may worth to check them out in case you to gain further knowledge about this topic!
