I’ve been loving Amalia * Samgee combo since MH3 release. Seeing this is awesome!
Literally my thought experiment today was trying to take your old Sam-Amalia combo deck and adding Guide of Souls. Love that you're on the same wavelength but better 😅
Maybe Nadu is everywhere but I've hardly seen it, and I watch all of Spike's vids. It's like 2 percent of matches I see him play.
Does flare of fortitude in response to Amalia trigger have any promise?
It would cause a tie because the triggers loop would never end

What if Nadu said the land comes into play tapped? Would it still need to be banned? Could they errat it to say as such?
Probably not ban worthy, and there is a hard 0% chance that they would do that.
There's a lot they could do to fix Nadu. Unfortunately Magic is a paper card game and they can't just go errata'ing cards like that. Maybe they would do it to Arena Nadu if Shuko ever gets printed there.

idk, i dont see nadu that broken, i play every day against nadu decks and i win a lot of games, if they ban some card it need to be shuko maybe, why would u ban a new card just for 1 deck
Because the deck stomped the pro tour, the card makes turns extremely long and unfun for the opponent, and it’s hard to counterplot as you 2 for 1 yourself nearly every time you try and interact.
@seancarmody3513 the pro tour, as always, is an inbread meta that doesn't represent the Modern format at large.
@@LukeH930 metas are inbred in their nature thats how they get made lmao. If anything a bunch of teams with huge incentive to keep quiet about what decks they think are busted up until the actual moment they register would create the least "inbred" meta

@@LukeH930 You are correct, it is in face even worse in the Modern format at large. People will NOT play the combo near perfectly or concede as soon as their defeat is near guaranteed in the Modern format at large, less skilled players than the best in the world will make the already readily apparent issues in the pro tour far, FAR worse. You might not even get to finish game 1 if you face a Nadu player that doesn´t have that much experience or skill with it, without intentional slow play.
And if you ban something other than Nadu you just move the issue somewhere else, they´re not gonna ban 80 other cards that could all potentially break Nadu when its so clearly Nadu that is broken.
