A Turkish online news outlet had an article on this land in July 2013. The title ran something like, "Ethiopia, Where God First Set Foot on Earth". Insightful, I thought.
That is also stated in many scriptures that Ethiopia is the origin of human being. One of the four rivers that is flourishing the heaven is Gion or present time Blue Nile. But all about Ethiopia is hidden by the western world intentionally.

Its amazing how you can have a film of Lalibela`s churches that seems to forget to show the most spectacular ones that indeed surpass similar European cathedrals it being that they were carved into mountains.Its amazing how European scholars can reveal the truth they once had hidden yet still refuse to reveal its extent and magnificence. I don't know what most of the folks commenting on Europeans are talking about, but this documentary, even if 10 hours long, will not begin to chip-at or intimate the truth about Lalibela (Roha) or its King(s). First, it is one of the few places that the Ethiopian Muslim Ahmed Ibn Muhammed Gragn was terrified of and even with the aid of the Ottomans, didn't consider to ravage. Secondly, it is one of the Ancient Cushitic capitals of the Cushitic Empire. Even African, whether Sudanese and/or Ethiopian wouldn't disclose that. They will say that it was the 2nd or 3rd Capital of Ethiopia, but the dynasty of kings that Lalibela and his ancestors belonged to were 100% Cushitic (some ethnic racists will argue this). Thirdly, it was completed within 22-24 years, carved by humans from Ethiopia, India and perhaps Armenia, but the preciseness was finished by angels of God. Fourthly, the inhabitants of this land tumble and fall here, never get hurt. How this been explained? The non-believers may want to ask Ripley...

So many Ethiopian that I know have no idea about Ethiopian history and the history that they supply is a fractured and distorted one taught to them by Jesuits, Templars and Communists. Is it fact that only Ethiopians contributed and built Lalibela? As I commented to Cool Gal, at the time when this Lasta (Cushitic) Dynasty was in power (in their own rite/right); there was civil war in the region. Lalibela's ascent or vision was not limited as many of you think and are limited. Armenia (surrounding regions) through Iraq and even Persia, down to India still had (have) Orthodox [Tewahido] Christians, therefore, it wouldn't be far-fetched that those people were recruited to help in such an environment. The narrator says that King Lalibela's ancestors were ursurpers. The truth is that the old Empire had fallen. Grown old, like the Roman Empire in western Europe in the 5th Century. Lalibela's dynasty was the dynasty that rebuilt a Kingdom in the heartland of Ethiopia. Not too long after the fall. Lalibela was their Charlemagne. Only not that long after the fall. But when the Roman Empire fell in the west, all the Roman scholars and engineers retreated into the Greek east, where the oldest centers of classical civilization were and where the Roman Empire still ruled. But when Axum fell at the end of the 10th Century or the beginning of the 11th Century, all the scholars and engineers remained right there in Ethiopia. So when Lalibela's dynasty re-established a kingdom in the heart of Ethiopia, they could build like Charlemagne could have never imagined. Lalibela was their Charlemagne, and the churches of his city, the city of Lalibela, were built to celebrate the rebirth of the Kingdom of Ethiopia. Their Statue of Liberty, to celebrate the reborn Kingdom as the Statue of Liberty celebrated the new United States of America. Like Charlemagne's Palatine Chapel at Aachen- only Lalibela could build like Charlemagne could have scarcely imagined- like Charlemagne's Roman predecessors had once built!
And those stone churches are among the wonders of the world!
