I CRIED ALL THE WAY to school today...

- Indy wanted to walk to school by herself for the first time this morning - and so I let her. She walked, and I cried... the whole way.
It's not a long walk from our door to the door of the schoolhouse where the teacher was waiting... only a couple hundred yards. But it's a big walk. A clear sign that our little girl is growing up and becoming more independent. The beginning of a thousands steps that she will take to become the girl and woman that God has made her to be.
But today she is still six-years-old and her Papa is thankful to be here for each and every one of these tough, beautiful moments.

Since my birthday, 4/25/20... I’m doing a daily FLOG (farm + vlog) here on CZcams. I’m doing my best to make something and share it… EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. (...or as often as I can with a working farm to run, tv shows to make and a sweet little six-year-old to raise).

My thoughts exactly...I cried watching this...it brought back memories of me putting my little sister on her school bus, to her special school; she was only 4 years old!! I cried the entire day!!

God’s love is so strong that you can cry with someone you don’t even know, about the achievements of a precious little girl walking to school by herself. Angels rejoiced for Indy today! God patted her on the head and said “Good going daughter!”
Alice Towery you said it! I feel the same. Such a beautiful family and her mama was walking with her and she was holding papa in her arm's as he stood watch.

Who would have ever thought you could fall in love with a previous gift from God by watching a you tube video. I'm crying too. Not just for Rory but for myself because those days are gone and my little blonde haired preemie baby is 26 and married. The years fly by

That was so beautiful seeing her do ballet. She is so precious with everything she does. She will never be alone. She will always have a guardian angel watchIng over her. I am sure Joey is very proud of her.

Oh, Rory ....my heart is with you. This reminds me of my daughter's first day at school .(..she is deaf and confined to a wheelchair with C.P ...) She laughed and I cried . She was so brave but Mama was a mess . God bless you and Indy .

Dana is very special and God gave her a special gift, a gifted artist and I am sure everyone is blessed that came across her.
I know, life is hard at times, especially raising Dana.
My sister's daughter have a heart issue since birth. Through hard times, there's allot of good times too.
As Christians, we draw strength from God. Also, we have hope in Jesus! (John 3:16)
There is no tears, pain, sadness in Heaven and everyone that is there will be made whole!
Have an wonderful life with Dana, listening to birds sounds so relaxing...bless you and your family!

I teared up when she stopped walking after she made that left turn. I thought for sure she was going to run back to her Papa.

What a beautiful set up there for her! As a former kindergarten teacher, watching her walk to school all by herself, and knowing a dad's heart, I cried all the way watching her as well. I did freak out a little when she didn't emerge from the walk through barn! Beautiful day!!!!!

I have watched this sweet video so many times. It warms my heart and breaks it at the same time. Indy is growing up so fast. I noticed a “bird” watching from the roof of the little barn and then again swooping up and down when Indy got into the school yard. I can’t help thinking it’s beautiful Joey, helping watch over your precious girl. What a special life you live Rory. You are such an inspiration. Watching You and Joey’s videos have helped me these past few months. I’m battling Cancer (I’m going to be just fine) and your story has given me peace and comfort. As a single Mom of two children a daughter almost 31 and my son 29, who of course have moved out and families of their own, I will always miss those moments.
