THIS VIDEO WAS SPONSORED BY RAID: SHADOW LEGENDS
wait what it still actual XD
When i hear the ''hewwo everybody'' i know some philosophy hard stuff is going to happen. N0ice.
@Juan Pablo Toro Lizarazo no it's not
oh right, no subtitles. But everything is subtitled in youtube CC this time so nothing blocks the windows
Pin? ahhh I'm just new so maybe not
Mfw the black box takes up the same amount of space on phone because the ratio is perfect /j
understand all of the stuff said above, no need for a subtitle
Don't worry, your English is great. If anything your pace may be a bit fast for some, but this just saves the the trouble of putting you on x1,5 or x2 to scrub through your video.
I think you cover a shitton of information, but focussing purely on the OSU side and letting people figure out their creative software for themselves would be better to keep some focus.
The thing I'm struggling with is keeping track of all the files that I need to make/change to make a decent and coherent skin.
I'd like to see you go over your workflow/project to see how you build one, while leaving the creative choices aside.
@AnimEz_Boy28 You can follow the official skinning tutorial on the osu site to get the filenames for your image assets, and I recommend creating your basic .ini file with osuskinner.

pull off your foreskin (jewish doctor recommended).
step 2: marinate for 4 years
I remember when I used to watch toofastdan's tutorials and making a skin alongside the tutorial, sadly the series didn't continue on, maybe this tutorial will be different and I can finally make a whole skin
Toofastdan was the person who got me into skinning :(
Same here, toofastdan got me to start my own skin, Glad to say after a year of changes I still use it to this day
tokaku: Hey! U wanna learn how to make an osu skin-
Me: **immediately taps the notification** *HELL YES. I’ve been looking for this*
I didn’t come here to learn how to make a skin, I came here to find out how to play osu on photoshop. I NEED TO KNOW!
power of

set your scorebar-bg to a picture of photoshop open, it's the same way some skins have boxes surrounding the play area
@@raider_aegis GENIUS
@@nunca727 thanks lol
Okay, to help you explain the .png image in layman's terms:
.PNG image files are really good images. Why? Here's why.
.JPEG images has more than *16 million* different colors at use.
.GIF images can only have 256 colors but supports transparency and animations. (Thus why .gif images are prevalent.)
.PNG? Can go at par with JPEG's color range whilst able to support GIF's transparency. (Fun fact: PNG can also support animations. The more you know.)
So yeah. Hope this helps.
boom, that's a NinjaWarotMC comment
Great video! Hopefully, this series can bring more people into the skinning community since the skinning community is pretty underrated.
Me : **watch the video**
tokaku : *explains*
Me : **realize that she play osu on photoshop**
-hol up-
u can make a skin on paint 3d lul. liek no rly im doing it mehself and i think its going rly well
@@tristantheoofer2 actually yeah. Both paint. NET and paint 3d will do the job as they support alpha channels (. net needs a plugin). The only one you just can't use is the original paint.
Edit to break accidental linkage
@@celem91 lol it look like stokaku xD
Before we begin this tutorial I want to thank are sponsor raid shadow legends
I literally just started making a mapset a few weeks ago and was wondering about custom skins for the mapset-I was lost on how to make multiple combobursts so I ended up taking the paper skin and looking at the image names. That was yesterday and what do I know, the next day specifically tokaku uploads a tutorial specifically on skinning lol
the editing in this video just hit different ya know (in a good way)
I loved how all over the place this tutorial was. There's so much information jam-packed into it. I like this and your occasional drawing videos
loved the video, i already knew like 70-80% of the things explained in this but really looking forward to the next episode
im a mixed skinner and has been having trouble making my own elements and this really helped thanks
I already new how to skin, and yet... I learned so much from this!
i've been waiting this video like 10 years, thank u tzechi
I have been waiting for a proper guide on skinning for years. Hopefully i can make my own skin now :)
Thank u for making this video!!
I'll be waiting for the next one cuz I really need to improve the way I make hp bars
Thanks kotaku, thanks to you, i am already making my own skin Megaman Zero themed. Of course, its my first one, i am taking something here or there, but with time, I want to make this skin be fully mine, and not just a skin mixing of the other people's work
BRUH FINALLY!! i love this Osu skin tutorial!!
I’ll probably watch this every time i think of making a new skin xD Loved the vid
Was really looking forward to this video
Thank you !
There's a lot of cool things you can do to make your skin unique. For example using default-N elements as your hitcirles and making your hitcirles transparent to disable fading out animation or putting your hp bar in the middle. I'd sugest everyone to look into other people's skins, the easiest way to understand how certain skin's features are working is looking at the files itself and comparing them to your skin's files. You will learn a lot quicker this way.
I think making a dedicated video about skins is a big plus, since I also do a little of skin mixing, thought I don't make my own skin elements and skin.ini tweaking, heck even animated elements on skin, so I think this is a must.
This was legit on the right time. I was struggling to finish my skin ^^'
A VID IVE BEEN WAITING FOR
tokaku is uploading a lot more now and i’m loving it
just when i felt like making my own skin, I remembered you made skins and would just get some idea from you. Thanks lol

Oh my goodness thank you so much tokaku! 🙏🙏🙏
Oh my god thanks so much, you don't even know how much this video helped me
3:40 You can use MS Paint 3D to make osu! skins as that app supports transparency, but not the legacy MS Paint.
Thank you so much for making this, because now I can finally make a Dream Minecraft OSU! Skin.
Good luck to all of us UwU
Omg thank you so much for making this
POG FINALLY someone doing this I had to figure everything out XD

Secret message from editor at 9:34 "Please add clipping mask paint.net please" - tzechi. You'r welcome.
I was literally just thinking of making my own skin after watching your skinning videos.
I’m waiting every single one of your videos before starting my own skin

thanks Jolene very kool
Woah i learned a lot lmao
Finally a skinning tutorial that I can use
the skinning post on the blog is good but having a voice walk you through it to explaining things help even more!
and toofastdan baited us on the tutorial which is good too but very dated.
@@M4TTYN yeah plus having tokaku guiding is really good as it helps me a lot and made it easier to understand certain stuff
I like how I finished my skin yesterday and now i know how to make one...
now we need a mania tutorial ;)
I was just in the middle of making a skin for myself lol
OI OUR PFP LMAO
OfficialChrisCJ woah
Sounds like me lol
Tokaku knows
YUI BEST GIRL
I assume skins do what they do with combo colours because there's something somewhere in the game where Combo1 comes first and in binary order Combo1 in your .ini would be combo 0 and combo2 is combo1. So it referenced them from 2 first and has to finish the sequence with the first one to avoid a crash
i just started to make a skin and now this video is uploaded 😎🔫👌
TOKAKU SPONSORRRRR
i thought i knew what i was doing and i did i was just double checking am gonna make cool neon skin
Krita doesn't need lots of guides unlike Photoshop
Osuskinner is actually a great way to make a quick and dirty gameplay skin
i subscribed :3
Me: I want to learn how to skin so I can create a Suisei skin
tokaku: I got you
There are no words on god's green earth to describe how grateful am i
Skinning, programming and graphic design in one vid
I probably missed this part where you explained this but i really wanna make my own custom skin on ibis paint since i’m alot more confortable with using phone rather than pc to draw, anyways, the only thing that’s stopping me from making a skin is that I don’t know the hit circle formats or things, i don’t really know if this matter but I just wanna make sure I don’t accidentally make the hit circles a millton times smaller than it needs to be
Gradient is the hardest, after make it I add some motion blur and make this work
I planned to make an osu skin using ibis paint and dint expect going to learn photoshop basics lol
DUDE HIGH EFFORT VIDEO EDITING POGU
I'm never gonna make a skin but ill watch this video
14:00 I started hitting ctrl+ z unconsciously lmao
Tank tokaka i now make osu leather
Goodmorning 🇮🇹
hi tokaku
1:26 OMG SHE'S PLAYING OSU! IN PHOTOSHOP!!
3:28 you can edit with paint 3d(upper right corner)
exactly what new skinners are looking for
dios pvto amo gracias bb te vas pal cielo
i remember when i first tried to make a skin and didnt use a template. it was a pain trying to fix the res and size on the things
I started making a skin a week ago and by now I'm pretty much done with skinning osu!standard, even though it took me far more than it should because I had to learn by trial and error, and this tutorial was a nice way to check if I actually did it the right way.
Do you plan on making any taiko/catch/mania skinning tutorial?
taiko is possible, mania, I haven't learned it yet (it's by far the most complex one)
meteu uma aula de como editar e ainda ensinou a fazer a parada no osu!
I'm actually looking forward to the transparent anime girl thing
