I’m African American and I have travelled to Abuja, Lagos, Benin, Akwa Ibom and my favorite… Port Harcourt! Let me tell you that it is not easy getting a visa for Nigeria unless you know one that is willing to vouch for you, which is why most AA do not visit Nigeria. Most of us have bloodlines that are traced back to Nigeria, so there is no hatred why most AA do not go. When you meet a Nigerian abroad, they speak so badly about the country, it actually turns you off in wanting to visit, when most things they say are exaggerated. Nigeria is a beautiful place with boundless potential.

As proud and hardworking Naija I definitely don’t care what anyone else says about us because we know whom we are as a nation. We are successful wherever we find ourselves and majority us are doing legitimate business, you have doctors, engineers, lawyers and entrepreneurs, in the entertainment industry we are number one in Africa and a force to contend with worldwide. The rest of Africa can called us whatever they like we definitely don’t care because we are very busy attaining greatness. Trying to argue with fellow Africans that we are better than what they think of us is useless so majority of us Nigerians don’t care about what others say.

As it stands, we have a huge population of our own in Nigeria!
As a matter of fact, my prayers are for a Nigerian government to emerge that would build up the infrastructure in Nigeria to help Nigerians abroad return home!
We are looking at some 20 million Nigerian born and raised Nigerians who relocated abroad because of the rumbustiousness and the supposed hardship in Nigeria!

@sofelaola-olamilekanmathew9513 I'm focusing on the fraudulent behavior that exists there. This is the reason why AA'S don't want to move there. How can someone live successfully with so many people trying to scam them. In the black American communities, we already have troubles with drugs and gang violence, so why would we wanna go move somewhere where now so called trusted people are literally out to do you harm. In black communities in the U S you know who you're enemies are but in Nigeria it's the unexpected friends and loved ones. Talk about betrayal, When you're relatives are out to betray you, you know you're in a demonic country!

Nigeria has never been set up as a nation for tourists - you visit & get in the groove.
You mentioned the large number of Nigerian professionals abroad - the priority should be about bringing a lot of those professionals back & that will make it easier for others to follow.

Being the most hated doesn't mean you're the worst. People can be hated for their success or for their guts; people can also be hated because of their talents and capabilities, or because the way they carry themselves makes others feel jealous or intimidated. For example, if I asked who are the most hated whites today, you all know that majority of the population around the world would point to the US. Even when it comes to the most hated country, many will also point to the US. But does that really mean they are the worst people in the world? Of course not. Many countries just hate the US because they think that the US intimidate others or throw their weight about too much as a superpower.

learn from WADA MAYA AND TAYO AINA, so you can grow your channel. We dont want gangstars from America, they cant even compete when they come to Nigeria. They have no money to spend. We already have enough population. Local Ghanians are are complaining about the negative impacts YEAR OF RETURN is having on them. We are Nigerians and we dont want to be like Ghanians. Why are African Americans running away from Tanzania? They cant even be successfull in the America where they have every opportunity. May i remind them also that 25% of Ghanian economy is own by Nigerians

Thanks for pointing out the obvious. I am sad that none of the comments mentioned the immense lack of security plaguing Nigeria which not one person in all the comments has alluded to. True, there is no completely safe place on Earth but denying the fact that most Nigerians are living in fear is nothing but self-delusion. I pray Nigeria never happens to all those who refuse to speak out ....Amen.

I live in Diaspora, miss my home-land, Nigeria more than words can say, BUT , the kidnappings and lack of respect for human life, will always make lots of Diasporans keep away( sad)....I pray the leaders do something about the security lapse so that, those of us who really want to come and back and give back to the society we grew up in,can do so without fear of being, kidnapped, used for Money Rituals, etc,etc because, there is NOWHERE LIKE HOME.....
By the way, i support the economy too( like thousands of Diasporans) by supporting tens of my extended family members back home)by sending them part of our hard-earned foreign currencies...... So, HOLD your Lambasting comments to my post...........nobody needs it!

Did I hear you say 75% of Nigerians are on social media? Wow! Where do you get your information from?
This is a completely false. The total internet penitration of Nigeria is 36%. Out of this number only a fraction would be on social media. Even it's 10%, its still a big number in the african context due to the high Nigerian population. Just stop spreading lies.
