I liked the addition of the disadvantage & that it was only food BUT it got a little predictable when every item was bought by the person w the most money so they could be safe. Maybe to incentivize a mix of decisions, they could add potential for an advantage after the definite # of items ends? Overall i LOVED the way they brought this back
Exactly, I don’t enjoy the end of the auction being the person with the most amount of money hoping there is one more item to bid on so they can spend it all. Pretty boring
YES, agreed with literally every point. For future seasons, I feel like they could be upfront about the lose your vote twist, BUT still have the possibility of advantages in the auction. Players would have to weigh whether they want to hoard money (and potentially lose their vote) to try and bid on a potential advantage, OR bid on food/whatever and keep their vote, but potentially lose an advantage. I feel like this would keep the auction engaging the entire time, modern Survivor alr has so many advantages so what's a few more, AND with the threat of a lose your vote, not everyone would hoard their cash. Especially with the added factor of everyone starting with differing amounts.
they might need to experiment if they continue to do the auction by adding and subtracting different things to the auction 2.0 until they find their sweet spot. As long as they don’t add anything game changing I don’t hate this format, except for the end of the auction turning into the person with the most money hoping there is another item
@@iambeanss I think a good advantage to add to this would be knowing what everyone's advantages are. So you buy it and get a list of what everyone has it shakes up the game as nothing's hidden anymore but at the same time it doesn't give the buyer any game power just strategic power in the form of how will the buyer use this info. Also instead of the most money makes it the least money for lose a vote that way people can bid up people and helps the people with little money
Ironically I think this auction would've been better with the potential of an advantage. Make Jeff pull 2 numbers between 6 and 15 and have one be for the amount of items, and the other which round the advantage would appear. Possibly force the advantage to be later in the range. Edit: The reason I think this change would've made it better is entirely due to the lose a vote aspect. As we see in 45s auction ain't nobody gonna partially bid. The VAST majority of people will dump all their money as soon as they can to avoid losing a vote. Adding the potential for an advantage gives people a reason to risk losing their vote. Frankly I'd prefer to just have a normal auction with no advantages and maybe the money hunt.
Underrated move in the Auction 2.0.
Austin bidding 100 on the fish eyes SCREWED Bruce. That was the only item he had a chance of winning.

not to mention, it'd add the aspect of the advantage potentially being at a number so high that it won't be able to be played
i'm rlly happy it's back.. and also the entire auction episode on 45 was phenomenal
Season two Australia they use Australian dollars just saying
Worth mentioning that food is not as enticing in a game that only lasts 26 days vs 39
But they don't get any rice until maybe after the merge (if enough people sit out). They're actually much hungrier at that point than before
@@kairenatus idk about that, there's been many seasons where they had to rely on coconuts
I think they should hide an advantage in a random item so it’s luck of the draw.
I wouldn’t be mad at this, but if it’s truly random i hope they make it private, otherwise they just screwed someone over
This reminds me of Fortnite
