The product so many fans love and consume suffers greatly and people complain; not caring at all about improving the quality of life for the artists saying the conditions should be harsher. Look at any discussion online about improving the working conditions of Japanese animators and you will find them.

Its just that the lineart has no variation in strength or anything and then the flat colors that look ass, the old anime style everything had texture it was very nice. See i know this because im shit at drawing and my stuff has the same problems, same width clean lines with flat colors and even if i jad shading its missing depth, compare that to the pen strokes of manga and the crosshatching shading its WAY more pleasant to look at or how old animes artstyle always looked like watercolour in the background.
