The feel of this is perfect for a very short cinematic chase scene vibe I think, as the lack of perfect stabilization and 'blurriness' makes it more intense looking. As opposed to other vids you post that have perfect stabilization and are smooth as butter and much more easily watchable for 10+ minutes imho :)
Totally agree. This might get tiring on a long video sometimes. I will try a few more angles and see if it makes any difference in stabilisation and I also want to mess around with post editing stabilisation. So much stuff to play with! 👌🔥
Looks awesome bro but the stabilization is really suffering haha. Maybe an aperture of 1/100 or 1/120 would be more balanced. What settings did you use?
Yeah, that’s pretty much always the case with Gopros and nd filters. Since they use electronic stabilization as soon as the light is not perfect for the sensor, it starts shaking too much.
I film at 5.3K, 24fps, ND 16, 1/48 shutter speed.

today is my first day using my very first GoPro. So... Noob question where do you guys get those filters? :D
Welcome to the GoPro family then!😁 These are the Polar pro filters directly from the GoPro website. If you don’t have any background with action cameras though, I would suggest you use it as it is for some time, mess around with it and get to know the settings and what they do to the camera, and then you can start playing with filters etc. 👌🙌

In this video, I have my GoPro mounted on the chest mount. I use the GoPro chest mount, and I have it as high as possible and as tight as possible to get the most stabilised footage. 👌

I'm guessing it's suppressing frames per second. Therefore making everything look faster. Think about it..And how Hyper works..lesser version but real-time. More like my old Hero Session 4..

Well… The riding is fast on its own and it’s a fast trail, but the nd filter adds that motion blur, and making it more realistic so you feel the real speed even more. 👌
@@theodorouandreas1 Too much blur interferes with stabilization because after stabilization direction of motion blur doesn't match direction of pixels in stabilized video. It is better to do motion blur programmatically after stabilization. But to be honest it's not worth it. Wide angle gives a much more sense of speed. It's why I prefer 360 cameras.

@dehabsmtb thats why I use karma grip and it looks super good you can watch on my last video its stable and has the motion blur

Nd filter supress hypersmooth stabilization?
Unfortunately since the stabilisation on GoPros is electronic, the moment you put an ND Filter it starts suffering a bit. Especially if the trail is too rough. Would be working much better on flowy bikepark tracks!👌
It's too blury and shaky. Maybe, chesty is moving to much, thus introducing a lot of shake in recording. Have you tried to mount cam to helmet or firm - plastic chest guard? To retain blur/speed feeling but eliminate shakin stevens? ;)
Honestly it isn’t THAT bad considering the low light and cloudy day that was that day. But i will play with it a bit more with different angles and see what’s best. 👌
which gopro mount do you use?
This was filmed on the GoPro “Chesty” chest mount. And I filmed with the GoPro Hero 12.
You can tell that this is overdone 4:31 dude's moving with a chill pace, slow pedal strokes on the uphill and the effect is still the same like he's going 70km/h. Hard pass, very poor representation of speed.
In fact, the chill pace you are referring to is just a super heavy gear hence the slow pedalling. But at that section you normally ride around the 25-30kmh mark. So not that slow to be honest on a 20cm wide trail. 😆

Don’t drink and ride dude! 🤣 On a serious note, yes, it might be tiring for some people to watch long videos with nd filters and “shaky” footage. But damn that nd filter looks great! 🤌👌
@@theodorouandreas1 i guess it is really individual think of preference :) but i can agree it looks different . My eyes are just a bit more sensitive especially if i watched this on bigger screen than phone. The most important is that you like your outputs :)
