I thought the Togepi egg in FRLG was well known.
Also, the Erika thing, it's not just Erika. You have the opportunity to get the phone numbers off all 16 Gym Leaders if you go to the right place at the right time on the right day.
Same. The starters and magikarp salesman as well.
yea thats one of my favorite things to do tbh, i dont do it much anymore since ive beend doing challenge runs of HG/SS so once i beat Red, im done and i have rare candy cheats, so no need to grind
....but still
My personal favorite of those is when you can awkwardly find Falkner and Janine hanging out in the department store talking about whose dad was stronger.
A valid discussion for sure, but from an in-universe perspective, why do they have to be hidden away like that? Couldn’t they have just talked over the phone or something?
@@bdt2002gaming maybe they both just happened to be shopping and bumped into each other? 😄
@@bdt2002gaming they were probably on a date shopping together and the argument broke out
why do i ship them?
because idk
And about Banette, I think the reason it's in the trashcans, is because of it's lore about being a discarded doll that came to life as a Pokemon, that seeks it's former owner
4:23 Banette's Pokedex entry says it's a discarded formally loved doll, so finding Banette in the trash is probably finding a fresh Banette
OG's Will remember the original pfp
What was it
@@zen7even It was [REDACTED]
OGs will remember the Decode Talker duel mat.
Im got me confused who i subbed then saw the username xD
@@zen7evenno one tell him
The Olivia dinner event occurs with the other kahunas at the restaurant of their island. Yes, they do all pay for the meal, and yes, you do get heart scales out of it.
I actually have the cable to connect the GBA to the Game Cube, so I did a lot of trades with Colosseum and XD. In fact, the Anihilape I'm currently using in Violet was a Primeape that I got in a recent XD playthrough.
Evolving Pokémon from eras when they were not even thought to have an evolution or a second opportunity for VGC is beautiful! UwU
150 events in USUM is insane
You can also have dinner with Nanu, I wonder if this means you can have dinner with all of then
Dinner with Nanu? Brb opening up Ultra for the first time in years
I remember grabbing Dinner with Nanu daily because if memory serves he gives a couple of Nuggets, and it was an extra way to grind cash (as well as Pyukumuku chucking)
@@BPTK162 I believe he gave heart scales like Olivia does
Banette being in the trash is probably because it's a discarded doll given life from the grudge of being abandoned
Banette was once a doll that was thrown away and then developed a grudge against the kid that discarded them
I don't remember where I got it, but I had the e-reader card for Pokéfan Kendall with his level 90 Plusle and I wanted to battle him so badly as a kid. 😭 PaPaSea really out here living my childhood dream of winning that berry. ❤
I kinda wish they had as much of those little cutscenes/details jn ScaVio like they did in USUM. I love little side events like that, makes the world feel more alive.
I knew USUM had events but pretty sure idk all 150 events, but I do know some of the main/popular ones, including the Pikachu marriage, the only other one I probably didn't know was maybe the Clair one. Everything else I'm familiar with, I was an npc talker when I was younger.
Shame games these days seem to kinda lack these kinda things
Even with newer games, I've always been and still am an npc talker haha. There's very little I missed growing up that didn't require some absurd requirements first lol
You can get hidden dialogue by doing certain things that you wouldn't do in a normal playthrough. For instance, if you evolve your starter in D/P/Pl before reaching the lab in Sandgem Town, Rowan will reference your starter being evolved. This also triggers if you hack your starter to be anything except the actual starters. I guess the game just checks for those 3 Pokémon specifically
In pkmn hgss you can register all of Johto and Kanto gym leaders in the phone. Then at certain times off the week you can call them to the Dojo next to Sabrinas gym to rematch them.
So no its not a weird random event its part of the rematch mechanic in hgss.
My man really went "This guy can't really have a Lv. 90 Plusle."
I loved getting lunch with Nanu in Pokemon Sun. I wish that Ultra SuMo had kept the best parts of the story intact, because the sidequests and minor events in that game were absolutely top quality.
I know about the Ultra events you mentioned, you can eat with Nanu on Ula'Ula. I assume you can eat with the other Kahuna's on their islands but I haven't tried it before.
Yea, SM/USUM each island have a restaurant (aside from the battle buffet) and you can have a meal date with Olivia, Nanu and Hapu if you chose the most expensive meal. You get the meal for free iirc and even get a free heart scale too
For some reason, you don't eat when they show up. Hapu even mentions it being a waste of food
I found out about Clair's TM firsthand because I wanted to get all TM's in HGSS. Dragon Pulse was the only one I was missing and sources online claimed you get it as a gym reward. I spent waaay too long looking for it before trying to talk to her in the gym
4:30 shuppet and banette are the of angry Plushies, cause they were thrown to the garbage instead of repaired
I was honestly a little upset that you only covered Erika in hgss when you can find all of the gym leaders at certain times on certain days out of their respective gyms to get their numbers. You then call them at specific times to set up rematches in the saffron city fighting dojo.
I like Sea’s content but he doesn’t always do the best on research.
Yeah, I was confused about why he only brought up Erika. To add to that, he only brought up Crasher Wake in HGSS, but you can also find Maylene involved in an eating contest in Celadon city
@@maximumbeans9310 yeah the quality of his "fact videos" has been on the decline since months
Why be upset just be like: did you know? And just say whatever it is you wanted to say it's not like he didn't say that he wasn't gonna miss anything like all throughout the video.
Banette is found in the trash because someone threw a doll away.
How about getting Mew from Pokémon Ranch when you've stored 999 Pokémon? 😄
Man, I forgot how much of a money grab all of gen 3 was with all the extra crap you had to buy just to "catch them all"
4:25 Banette is in the trash because in the Pokédex it says that they’re dolls that come back to haunt the children that threw them away
In X and Y you can get both Kalos, and Kanto starters, But in Hoenn, you can get Hoenn, Johto, Unova, AND Sinnoh starters. All you need to do to get the Johto, Unova and Sinnoh ones is beat the game first for a Johto Starter from Birch, then beat the Delta Episode for Unova Starters, Finally beat the powered up Elite 4 for Sinnoh starters (you can only pick one though).
About the Magikarp salesman, in Kanto, it's a scam, but in Unova, it's the only way to get Magikarp without transferring it from a previous game, as, since the Old Rod does not exist in Unova, you cannot catch Magikarp in Unova, or so I hear.. Especially since you're forced to use Pokemon native to Unova throughout the main story in Black/White. Because of that, you're not scammed by purchasing a Magikarp in Unova, as you can't catch one yourself
In black 2 and white 2 it's not as worth it as magikarp is in the nature pressure in the post game
I came across the pikachu wedding by pure accident in ultra moon. It felt so bizarre
One of the most charming parts of the main gen 7 games is just the random things you don't have to do but are just there
I’ve never seen this pointed out. In OR&AS, after you complete the Hoenn region dex you get the Jhoto starters and if you talk to prof again he will also give you Gen-4&5 starters aswell.
In pokemon crystal, you can actually get Buena's phone number! You have to acquire 30 points on her card, which requires you to tune into her show for at least 30 days. After you get 30 points and talk to her in Goldenrod, she'll give you her number! I actually went through the trouble of doing this daily as a kid
the Pikachu marriage is wild. If pokemon can get married they can get divorced lol
I had no idea about the marrying pikachu 😂but i did know about the kanto and johto leaders in HGSS. It’s pretty cool, you can get all their phone numbers and battle .
Fun fact after you get their numbers you can find them again for a photo
@@rayquazaemerald10260 i forgot about that little things like that just make me love HGSS even more
4:22 I actually once found a Shiny Banette from one of these trash cans. It was my first random Shiny.
2:22 I knew this one! I picked togepi up in my original save of fire red
Since I'm a big nerd of the franchise, I somehow knew all of these
Had to point of the fact with Erika. To get the GLs number, you have to meet them at specific times on specific weekdays. Not only Erika.
This was such a cool feature tbh. It makes you appreciate the gym leaders so much more by randomly meeting them in private and getting their number for future meet ups. Gives them so much more life unlike on other games where you battle them once and never see them again.
4:26 I think the reason why Banette is found in the trash can is from its Pokédex entry. It is an old toy that was thrown away from a child and it doesn’t move on from it. Instead it holds a grudge. In Emerald it mentions this “An abandoned plush doll became this Pokémon. They are said to live in garbage dumps and wander about in search of the children that threw them away.”
Yo as a child, I thought you needed to complete the NATIONAL pokedex in Emerald to get a Jhoto starter. I was probably 3/4 of the way done when my save file got corrupted and deleted itself. I'm almost 99% positive I complete the hoeen dex, yet I never tried to talk to the professor bc I thought I wasn't even close. Everytime someone talks about that fun fact, I get sad😂 I did it all by myself too, countless hours of just me, my (and my siblings) copies of R/S/E, our gameboys, and the trading cords. I'll do it all over again one day, if I ever get a few weeks to spare as an adult.
The Banette thing makes sense, if you think about it. They are abandoned dolls. What do you usually do with stuff you no longer want? Throw it away.
I had the e-reader as a kid. I still do. The only good thing about it was that I had a card that gave me killer berries for evolving feebas and upping their beauty super fast, even if they hated the flavor.
4:29 when a doll gets abandoned by its owner it turns into a Banette
4:26 cause banette is a discarded doll that hunts the child that discarded it. Makes sense it comes out of the trashcan
I've done the Hoenn living dex for Emerald. It took forever but i was able to get everything. Using my 2 copies of Emerald i was able to get all 3 Johto starters. Totally worth it
I believe you can have dinner with most of the Kahunas, and you'll get some extra Heart Scales.
Bannete's dex entry says it's a discarded doll that came to life because of it's grudge with the human who threw it out so that's the reason it's found in the trash
Dang I didn’t realize you changed your profile picture. It looks great!
👀
A thrilling event that makes days more exciting but only given on Tuesdays... Does anyone else think that is a Mardi Gras reference?
Nice video, didn't know some of these.
But what's going on with the thumbnail? The arrow is placed in such a way that it made me think there was going to be a connection between Totodile and Wake.
I often used to collect the telephone numbers of all the gym leaders in Soulsilver. Never called them for a rematch though.
Really nice pfp, i love usum for all the mini side quest, there's so much to do in it.
If you did a video of all the Sun/Moon skits, Id totally love that!
I already knew about the Togepi egg in FRLG
That level 90 plusle is the forbidden secret boss of Pokémon
“And then you never see them again” they’re on they’re honeymoon. Leave them alone.
I like watching these “things you didn’t know” videos because I always end up knowing each topic brought up, can’t really prove it but I no lifed pokemon hard as a kid lmao
The Bannete is in the trash can because it's just come to life, the doll that became the Bannete was just thrown in the trash.
I may or may not have done that olivia event multiple times
ngl when i first found the togepi egg i thought it was a reference to the anime
I knew most of these. Just because I really like side quests and exploring so much.
I got a shiny sharpedo from that aqua grunt in the ORAS post game
I actually already knew, quite a few of these
one event that wasn't mentioned that I found one time was in SM, where you did a "playdate" with trial captain Lana's siblings, when I went into their house. It was a while ago so I don't remember any details or the circumstances that caused it.
This event happens after the fight with Olivia on Akala Island. Said fight also allows you to fight Kiawe (Sun) or Mallow (Moon).
I knew about the gen 5 and gen 6 ones but most of the others were new to me
I have the fancy cable, that nobody ever has. xD and I knew all of this except the sun and moon stuff....
Only thing I didn't know was how to get Banette in X/Y, I thought its mega was introduced in OR/AS :0
Some of them I actually didn't know!
I knew about the Togepi and the Johto starter
That outro was so sweet, dog. I will have a good rest of my day. ❤
Also, double checking to see if the plusle was actually level 90 is so real of you. 😂
Not only does she give you the tm in her gym but if you go back to where she originally gives it to you normally then you get a second one.
"If anyone actually knew about all these already, I'd be surprised..."
Prepare to be surprised then, bud, because i not only knew about all these, ive done them.
dayum, new pfp lookin pretty neat^^
In HG/SS it is not just Erika. You can get the numbers of all the gymleaders from Kanto and Johto to battle them again in the fighting dojo. I used to have a layout with all the times I could have a rematch witch every gym leader .
Crasher Wake appears in black and white in the same place as bw2
"Fancy cables nobody ever has." >_>; I have that...
I already have ditched my old browser; I'm even using Opera right now!
I knew about the 4th detail, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 10th, 11-b, 12th, and the 13th... my dude, these are some obscure as details, I can't believe I actually knew some
other that the last 2. i knew them all. as i tend to sort of scavenge every pokemon game i play. yeaj. imight always over level because i dont miss every turn or skip a trainer hoping their line might lead to another secrets.
Okay, you're not going to believe me, but I already knew the all. But I enjoyed the video anyway, nice job.
6:35
then if you clear the league again, he'll give you a Sinnoh starter~ so you could have all generations of starters in HG/SS (that were out as of the games release)
i thought the sun and moon guy in the dessert would be on here
there's a crazy guy who goes nuts about a solrock or lunatone (surprised those are not in the national dex)
or maybe im misremembering, i've never triggered this myself and no not remember how it exactly goes
I think he got beamed up to outer space after you competed the quest too lolll
@@love4teacups yeah, he's a crazy guy
It was all fun and games until some NPC rolled up with a level 90 Plusle and you have nothing but a water type on the field…
I knew and frlg Togepi. But yeah you can only kanto pokemon in the main game
At one point or another i knew about all of these except Bannette, cause i don't care about Bannette to go out of my way to look for it.
how DARE you not know Bannette lore
I actually did know all of these 💀
bannette and shuppet are haunted dolls that got tossed into... wait for it... THE TRASH.
i knew about 10 of these things
Knew all of the facts apart from the Erika one and Banette one still loved the video tho.
Hehe I knew quite a lot of these cuz I like talking to every NPC
If a opponent pokemon doesn’t have anything that can hit a Pokémon with levitate, how come the Pokémon with levitate gets hit with earthquake
I like the new pfp
I still have the e card reader
Bannette is a thrown away plush so it makes sense why they’re in the trash
I got the link cable for the Gamecube just in time for my copy of Pokemon Colosseum to break and every copy I've bought didn't work 😭 Someday that Gen III Ho-oh will be mine
You forgot the safari zone on rby where they will let u in with no money
I know I mentioned this to BlueBoyPhin but I home be of these Pokémon fact tubers will cover all the crazy Pokémon fishing lures. And I'm not referring to just the pikachu and kyoger jitterbug lures but the old TOMY fishing lures and I think YUM also released some pokon soft plastic "worms" that looked like Ekans and Arbok.
Have fun seeing a shiny kyoger fishing lure sell on EBay for, no joke, 1500-2500 dollars! 🤯
I was wonderin'.
Man just doesn't talk to NPCs
Knew about 90% of these. The pikachu marriage thew me for a loop.
