I think the spurs at 4 could go wing(if dillingham is still there) and I don’t think there is a team between there 4 and 8 pick that would pick dillingham

After that you really think pistons, blazers, hornets will? Besides pistons none of those teams need a small ball dominant guard. We don’t know what they do but it’s seems kinda likely

@@keonjames4706 That's not a real thing, Cam Whitmore fall out the top 20 with all the hype you can imagine. If Clingan goes in the top 3, they can do whatever they want with the 4th pick, it's a lock that one off Reed, Topic or Dillingham are gonna be avaible in the 8th pick. PG isn't a need of these high draft teams.

As a spurs fan I love topic at 4, and I like reed shepard at 8, but don’t like both together. I would love to get a sf and a pg in this draft so would prefer topic and holland if he falls or, Zacc and the Shepard or rob. Or something like that
I think it’s so fun seeing how many completely different mocks there are. Some people have guys going top 4 who aren’t even in other people’s lottery. It’s so different from how this time of the year usually goes.

I'd much rather have Buzelis at 4 and Dillingham at 8 than Topic and Sheppard. You improve your offense and defense far more that way, IMO.

As a hornets fan with us picking at six, I think Holland or Castle are great positional fits, and great value at that spot

Why not take Reed Sheppard no. 4 and Dalton Kneckt at 8? Solves all three problems, instead of just two. Or Risacher at 4 for “D” and Sheppard at 8?
Two guards doesn’t make sense. They have Branham and Wesley already starting to develop. Just a thought.
I think Wesley and branham are developing, but we still need to add competition. That's the only way that we're gonna get better.

One thing I loved you said was draft for NEED not fit. We need shooting, a Kentucky guard can provide it for sure. But how bad will either of those guys be limited due to their size?

Reed Sheppard is going top 5. Sorry San Antonio isn’t getting him at 8, no way. He may legitimately go top 3. Comparing him to Austin Reeves is insulting, Sheppard is an elite athlete, highest vertical in the draft, elite shooter, elite defender by analytics. He’s more of a shorter Klay Thompson.

I‘d want Castle if the draft would go like this. He‘s about 6‘7“ in shoes so he can easily play the 3 and he can guard 1-3. He‘s a better defender than Cody and already a lot more polished on offense. I think his upside is pretty close to Codys but he has a floor that‘s much higher

My fav guy would be Holland but he will most likely be gone before too. I wouldn‘t mind Cody but I think 7 is a bit too high for him
@@ezypeazyy Castle is not big enough to play SF consistently. All those SFs in the playoffs that are similar height have wingspans of 7ft+,Castle's is 6'9", thats the huge difference in them being able to successfully play the SF position permanently. With much better players still surrounding them and a SF level of athlete at PF for a lot of them too. Castle is a combo guard offensively in the NBA and especially if he is ever able to even get near his ceiling or high level of success.

I like the Donavan Clingan pick for the Wizards. Realistically a long way to go for the Wizards. Plant the seed for a big that will be hard to get later. Probably draft high again next year. Winning three years off perhaps.

I’d say they go topic because of his size probably has a bit more potential to be a better defender but I am with you that the wizards should go one of those two guys. Clingan wouldn’t be terrible as he can be a gafford replacement but i think they should trade down if they want Clingan

If they are okay with being bad this year it could work out, he doesn’t move the needle right now but once the team comes together he could be very valuable for the competitive team

Probably because Mobley has more offensive skills
Defensively, Sarr has more physical tools than Mobley. But I would say that it’s because Mobley defensive instincts, IQ, & perimeter mobility are what separate him into a different tier as a defender. Sarr has excellent potential, but the only thing that holds back scouts has been his inconsistency with his defensive fundamentals & IQ
I would take Risacher, but can he do anything but shoot? He seems like a safe pick, tall guy who can knock it down. But, how long will it take before he gains some size. What about Jabari?

Spurs are not the wolves. We won't draft 2 point guards and get both the wrong ones. 3 and D wing(s) are the priority and we will draft at least one. I chalk this up to you being under the weather. Looking forward to the next mock.

Just without him, Hawks starting lineup could be Murray, Bogdanovic, Hunter, Johnson, Sarr. With an reasonable upgrade at the 2 and 3 spots, it would be a pretty ok lineup!

The Blazers do not need another guard. They need shooters. Dalton Knecht is the best choice. Tyler Smith fits at fourteen.
He is not a guard. He played the 3 at UConn and he‘s about 6‘7“ in shoes. He can guard 3‘s comfortably. He‘s literally taller than Dalton and a wayyyyyy better prospect. Wasting the 7th pick on Dalton would make me throw up
I agree with Topic at four for the SPurs but I feel a 3 and d forward at eight makes much more sense. Knecht is an instant upgrade over Champagnie.

This may be the only mock that makes sense, so well done. I'd flop Dillingham and Buzelis. Detroit for some reason can't understand what a PG is, Cade is better as a first option scorer and secondary playmaker - he needs to be a the sf position. Dillingham I think is the best scorer in this draft and a great P&R playmaker. Buzelis to memphis is a upside play and in reality the dont really have a wing. Prolly would take Devin Carter to SAC as well, SAC plays soft - they need a dog there
Isaiah Collier and JaKobe Walter should be in the lottery.
Clingan would likely cause a revolt from the fanbase. His game is pretty much 5 ft from the bucket, and even that is average at best. Marvin Bagley is already on the roster and does everything he does, while being able to occasionally stretch the floor.
The spurs never really like taking guards in the top parts of the draft they like forwards ot center

Drafting Matas Buzelis to the Pistons has got to be THE WORSE possibly fit in this draft lmaooo
I can see Risacher falling to 4 because both the Wizards and Rockets have good young wing/forward depth. In that scenario (aka the best case scenario) the Spurs pick him at 4, because idk if the next 3 picks go for a weaker defensive on ball guard like Topić or Dillingham. The Pistons have Cade and Ivey and need a wing. the Hornets Have Lamelo who is a big guard but really lacks defensively and also need shooting around him. The Trailblazers have Scoot and Anfernee Simons both smaller guards. Now obviously those teams can all pick off potential for the future. I’m personally not a fan of Reed Sheppard or Dalton Knecht, because while Wemby accelerates the rebuild time line they are more than just some shooters away from being a consistent contending team. If the Spurs get Zaccharie and Topić/Rob it helps with floor spacing and ball handling. All this obviously depends upon how the draft goes but even if the Spurs trade the 4th pick and both second round picks to the Rockets or Wizards in order to do it I would.

Okay, I understand Clingan to Washington. But, we all know Houston is going to select Risacher. That is NO secret. But, The Spurs can easily wraggle away Risacher with the 4th pick. How? Well, you were right about Washington needing to build for the future, why not build with more picks and still get Clingan. They Spurs have like 18 picks in the next 4 drafts. They can offer Washington 4 second round picks and a first round pick in the future, plus offer them their 4th pick of this years draft. Sooooo, Washington gets a ton of picks and still wind up with Clingan, while the Spurs get their man in Risacher. That would be the perfect situation for both teams. Don't worry about Houston, they will still get a top pick, so they are not worried about it either. That works for everyone. What do you think?
