It was thoughtful of you to take care of the bottle. Blows my mind other didn’t realize it was stuck and broke with jagged end up. 🤦🏻♀️ at least u did something. That was thoughtful not many others would.
That is a beautiful thing you did, breaking up that bottle into itty bitty pieces so it will (hopefully) never be something anyone could get cut upon. It's just a small thing and took no time at all to do - but you know the old saying - 'an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.' Thank you, Aquachigger. Well done! d8^)

Sure, but 'Chigg couldn't easily get it out, so breaking the already broken bottle down into far smaller pieces which dropped down in-between the rocks where no one would be able to step on them made more sense. It also was better than accidentally cutting himself working to get the bottle out. That would have ruined his already limited time in the water.

I met two guys who found a 8" pipe with raw sewage coming out of it,in a trout stream on the outskirts of a small town.There were no buildings or houses anywhere,so they marked the spot and went home.After going through the wood pile at home,a nice 5',9"diameter piece of cedar log was tapered to slightly under 8" for a couple of feet.The next day they took 2 sledge hammers,a saw and the cedar log back to the trout stream.After pounding the log in as far as they could,the end sticking out was sawed off.A few days later a big potato processing plant about a mile away had to close their front office.Because their toilets and drains were blocked up;the plumbers couldn't figure out why.

He needs Wifey to pack for him and see to it that he has on his person everything he needs when he starts searching. OK, OK, I'll let up on him. Yeah, I know....but I am, and it makes me cringe! I love Beaus stuff. In fact as he picked all the gear up off the bank to leave I thought I saw a reel handle still lying there in the mud. Sure enough in the wrap up one reel had no handle.. and a reel foot attached to a rod with no reel....though it could have been found that way..so worthless I guess.
Actually, the Chigg does like to fish. He used to do more of it before he started metal detecting.

I carry a knife almost exactly like that one in my pocket everyday for work. Keeps a great edge and really comfortable in the hand.
I had a knife exactly like that but I just broke the blade yesterday lol...nice finds aquachigger!!

what kinda boat are you using?
Those two "twin" reels are Shimano's, which are well-made fishing instruments. Sweet. Bet there is a graphite rod among those too. I am just like you --- when I am fishing and its getting dark, and I have to split soon, I'm like, "Just one more pass in that rapid there or the pool underneath of it... just one more...." ---- Always turns into two or more passes... haha. That looks like a beautiful place to fish!!!!

Rod tip is a cheap fix, Tig. I've broken several over the years. Clean around the break, maybe hit it with some fine sandpaper. Go to the sporting goods store and find a new tip that is just a bit larger around than the rod tip. They make an adhesive just for that. looks like a plastic crayon. Just melt some, pop on the new tip, for maybe 5 bucks total, you have a usable rod.

Aquachigger, you should upload a small safty information video on these kind of waters. A lot of younger fans or even older want to go out and do this but don't know about the dangers. My friend got caught in a current coming off small waterfall like rapid a day or two after a decent rain. Sadly he drown... his body was found that night at bottom against rocks. Going out doing this with no experience can be a death wish. Mother nature is a beauty but can be deadly. Anyways good video enjoy watching.
I agree. I am worried kids might try this. AC is a highly experienced diver and snorkel who knows rivers. Be careful.

if you're old enough to go out alone doing stuff like that, you should have enjoyed a certain parental education already and know about the dangers of unknown rapid waters. If not, it's not chigg's fault. As sad as it is, I doubt that a warning before every video would have prevented that.
***** I knew after posting my simple feedback this comment would show up. Look buddy no one is blaming anyone here? Not every child has watchful parents. A lot of immature minds lurk the internet young as 10 years of age. They do not know the risk and until a adult instructions them they do not know the dangers. And fascinating experiences in these video stir imagination, the younger audience may want to sneak off to nearest river and give it a go.
Under your logic, if a kid drowns a kid drowns, blame the parent no one needs to hold anyone's hand. If he jumps into the water and dies so be it. Yeah I could have told him but he probably wouldn't have listened anyways.
That seems like pretty inhuman logic in my book. But as Conner Bapst already stated a video exists explaining the dangers, so I have to wish you a good day and end it on my end right here.

That baitcaster you found is an old shimano citica! Decent reel. They retailed about 130 new.
