Rape Me was written by Kurt Cobain during the mixing sessions for their second album "Nevermind", and was recorded for their third and last studio album "In Utero", released on September 13, 1993.
The song is in 1/2 Step Down Tuning (Eb-Ab-Db-Gb-Bb-Eb).
