Hey there Emma, my name is Ray, and I know it’s pretty late, but I’ve only recently come across your video, mainly because I’m trying to improve my English writing not only out of my own interest but obviously for studying reasons.
I think the most useful part of this video for me is both the section on reading and the one for journaling. I already do journal a little bit daily along with writing out my gratitude, but never really pay close attention to the detail like grammatical errors.
This will definitely be helpful and aid in my English writing improvement!

Practising your writing is essential if you want to improve your writing skill, but I think having feedback on your written piece is more important if you're going to push your writing skill to the next level. As a human, we tend to repeat our mistakes if no one points out for us.

    *SUMMARY*
    1. Practise your English writing _everyday._ Start small and make it a habit.
    2. Do not underestimate the importance of your grammar and word choices. If you have the chance, take a course or seek help from a writing expert.
    3. Read in order to learn different writing structures, appropriate vocabulary and tone.
    4. Plan your writing using an outline, a mindmap, a list or anything else of your choice.
    5. Think and plan in the language that you will be writing in.
    6. Dare to make mistakes, and learn from them!

Hi Emma, when I started writing comments in English I couldn't even build two sentences correctly, I didn't know how to write though I was understanding what's being said.
I used to make mistakes, even now while I'm writing I'm sure that I'm making some mistakes, but things are getting much better than before, so what I recommend is to start writing, and day after day writing skills will definitely improve.
I still have problems with punctuation and word order.
I always notice that people make mistakes while I'm reading their comments, but I don't correct their mistakes because they maybe get annoyed.
I would be very glad, if someone corrected my mistakes, because it's the best way to improve our English-writing skill.

Hello, Emma! Soon after I have started to learn English again, I realized that I should write the most important things down from your lessons because I would have a few benefits out of it: I would keep the level of my writing skills up, I would improve my English because even writing English helps to think in English and I would have a "grammar book" in exercise books which means that I don't have to go up on the internet to learn from your lessons. So I had been written everyting out and I plan to continue it. Pre-writing and accuracy were the best ideas of yours.

hello emma. i really appreciate this lesson because I am the kind of person who is afraid of writing in english language. I have searched so many tips on how to improve my english writing and now i think i found it.
from my point of view , the most useful way to improve writing is trying to find a writing partner. i have already done the other tips but still afraid to write in english language. Trying to think in the language that u want to learn and write is quite difficult for me . I am totally not used to it. The more I watch ur lessons on youtube and facebook, the more confident I become. Your lessons not only give me knowledges but also make me stronger and encourge me to go on.Thanks heaps.

Actually, it could be both. It depends on the context. Of course, the meaning will be different. But if you mean the sentence is just 'it's gone.' The 's here would be 'is'.

Thank you, Emma, I have been learning English for around 10 years, my speaking and listening skill is pretty okay but I am still not confident in my writing skill. When I write I think I have to use more vocabulary than we speak and the grammar is more complicated than we speak.
