@@KenericTheGeneric Oh i said that because the lead singer Jack Steadman wrote it about the isolation that he felt when the band was on hiatus and how much he missed his bandmates, but there are so many other interpretations to this song! i just thought it was super cute when I lerant the story of how this song came to be
The Lyrics are literally a romance song. The vid is just a piss take. Nothing in the lyrics about missing his friends.

Nash and Steadman, two of the band members wrote "Eat, Sleep, Wake" about their feeling during their band hiatus and the feelings they had about not making music together during that period of time.
I sense that it had a double meaning in that it pertains to the love of art as being similar to loving another, because they both present their own challenges and rewards through struggling together, the challenges that comes with every artist's/lover's ambition to create, the mistakes, the successes, the self doubt and the hopefulness. When he gets frustrated in the beginning I felt that. You gotta brush it off or at least do what you can to fix it, just don't dwell on the mistakes made in life and art.

Nothing appropriately measures the feelings of loss but this song helps me let some of the pain out sometimes. It is the best approximation I can find to how I feel and the only way I can really feel what I feel.
