- Rick's blog (2018): Day 62 of my 100-day trip to Europe brought me to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. One hour from Vienna and two hours from Budapest, this city is filled with surprises. Here at Café Kormúth, a cake and a coffee come with an unforgettable setting. Follow my travels on my blog: blog.ricksteves.com

Been to this Cafe. Everything has been served in antique porcelain from their collections that are a hundred years old.
good to know this place, Rick. Bratislava is even greater than before. I would say, Time to go back.
Bratislava was one of my favorite places that I ever visited. I recommend everyone goes there.
I went to Bratislava and discovered halusky, that was really good stuff.
woow the ceiling is stunning ..
i would love to go there .. so beautiful !!!
Beautiful...even the streets and sidewalks!
I used to live just down the street from that shop, moved last year but still in Bratislava. I remember it was under renovation and completely dark inside for a few months, but the puppet/animatronics were still in the window and working. Glad to see it got a beautiful re-decoration.
Bratislava- one more place on my MUST VISIT list! Especially the cafe, cake and coffee yummm, I want to follow in your footsteps Rick Steves!
Fantastic city, so easy to get in from Vienna to enjoy a day. A lot of culture, beautiful architecture and good food! The statues in human size are incredible! We hope one day to come back! Thanks for this video!
This video is definitely one of the best I have so far been watching for guiding from you.
Hey Steve, is there a chance you’d ever do a 25 minute Slovakia episode?
Please cover Slovakia as well. I am a huge huge fan of you Mr. Rick Steves!

Wow, nice one
I’m here in Slovakia right now!
I’ll be headed to Bratislava, Slovakia 🇸🇰 this July. My friend George is originally from Slovakia and he told me good stories about Slovakia. As someone who is of Polish descendants my family came from The Slovak and Ukrainian region of Poland (Podkarpacie which was part of Galicia) during The Austro-Hungarian Empire.
It's on my day trip from Vienna travel wishlist but may need to extend my stay.
EuroTrip really gave this place a bad rep lol good on you for showing it’s beauty!
Wow
Likely sweet
The Hybrid Shooter channel lives and films from here. Gorgeous town, amazing river views with castles on hills. He reviews cameras, and is my favorite camera reviewer.
❤❤
Guy was baked out of his mind

I see that central Europe is a mosaic, a meeting point, of German and Slav peoples!
Hi Steve, curious to know how you do it. Are you traveling on your own or are you working for some travel agency who are sending you at different places.
Syed Muneer Hassan: Mr. Rick Steves talks about who he is and how he ended up being the author of traveling the world in many of his longer videos on CZcams and his website www.ricksteves.com - here is one link to a longer but thorough video from him: czcams.com/video/IVftcdR53Y0/video.html
Syed Muneer Hassan, Rick has been writing travel books his entire life! "Europe through the back door" was his first(?) and he hadnt stopped for twenty plus years, at least! Google him!
I am a big fan of you. I would like to talk to you. I am living in Austria
I am an Indian living and working in Austria
Ashura ha ha you are right. I was only trying 😂. I was thinking, maybe he will reply 😛. I am not disappointed 😂. Thank you for your kindness 😍
Briefly visited Bratislava back in the Communist days in 1987, so nice to see it this way
☕🍺🍻
👍🏼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😳😳😳
It looks like you were under pressure in Bratislava for only less than three minutes. However, there are many good videos about Slovakia. So, Slovakia doesn't need your comments.
Our Rick looks like agent of influences of Germany. At least germanophil
Honestly though, 10 euros for a cake and coffee in Bratislava is way too much. That place is a bit of a tourist trap.
the price is for entrance to museum ( as there is some rooms to see, also for cake, one hot drink (tea, coffee, chocolate) cold drink ( think it is wine, sparkling wine and something else) so it is not so much to be honest if you recount it.
....you're making me dizzy...
ohh my neighbors :D I'm sending greetings from Czech Republic
